Repeatedly Misgendered and Concerns Disregarded Dr. Liggett failed to inquire about my pronouns, misgendered me, called me 'girl' numerous times and disregarded my gender identity as a trans person, despite clear pronoun indications on my mask. Exercising my rights with informed consent: my refusal to be weighed was met with a distressing inquiry of suspicion on her part, as she seemed to interpret it as a personal affront. In a discussion about my concerns regarding my condition, she quickly interjected and talked over me, with statements like, 'You need to stretch more and get better shoes.' She repeatedly interrupted me while discussing my symptoms, after I disclosed that I'm Autistic. She laughed at my shoes' lack of arch support, which I felt was insensitive and classist. Her attribution of my chronic pain and inflammation to my shoes and a croissant I had consumed that day, was ill-informed and rude, particularly after my disclosure that I didn't want to be weighed unless… absolutely necessary.
