Dr. Alison P. Toth, MD

Couldnt be happier. I’m 58 and an amateur rower and soccer player. (and calling myself an amateur is being generous :-) Dr Toth spent an hour with me, spent a considerable amount time listening to me, explained images, gave me options, and didn’t leave until every single question was answered. Once we settled on the next steps, she humbly handed me over to a partner surgeon for unicompartmental knee surgery. I genuinely feel I was treated no differently than a professional athlete would have been treated. Dr. Toth exceeded expectations. And the supporting staff was great, too.

There are not enough kind things that I can pull together to say about Doctor Toth. She exceeded all of my expectations throughout the three surgeries that I went through with her. She went above and beyond to ensure that my scars on both knees were as clean as possible, and helped support me every step along the way. Her team members are amazing as well, and they did everything they could to ensure that my recovery went as smoothly as possible. I was very hesitant about having my knees fixed, and I can honestly say that she made the process so much better than I expected. I am so pleased with my choice of surgeon and would recommend her to anyone in need of a knee procedure or anything else.

Dr. Alison Toth is one of those doctors who painfully thinks outside the box to help her patients. I am a medical professional myself and I understand and appreciate the excellence in which she cares for her patients. She is thoughtful and carefully researches all possibilities to make sure her patients have the best possible results and care. She is extremely thorough and I whole heartedly would recommend Dr. Toth without reservation. Many doctors could learn from her expertise and her warm bedside manner.

She wasexceptionally compassionate and present with me during all of my interactions.

In my experience, very dangerous and arrogant surgeon. She failed to diagnose a bone disease. Worse, when I asked a question (another Duke physician disagreed with Toth's plan), Toth was so arrogant that she had her office manager tell me that she wouldn't treat me.

Dr. Toth has performed 7 knee surgeries on me Due to her compassion for me to get back to sports she has worked with me for three years non stop. I see her at least once a month for a follow up. although she can run a little bit late I wouldn't go to someone else just because she is that thorough. she takes time and answers ever question that I have. she is truly an amazing person and I don't know what I would do without her here to help me through this. i would recommend her to anyone in the united states because of her amazing care.

De. Toth has done 2 surgeries on me after a car accident. I have a complex medical history and have seen at least 65 physicians in my life. She is tied at first place.Because of her attention to detail a hard to fine cancer was discovered.

I was hit by a car as I was walking across a street. I had multiple injuries with an already very complicated medical history. I would not have been able to survive and function without the help that I received from Dr. Toth and the PTs. She performed ACL, MCL repairs on the left knee and other surgeries on the right knee.She also made a spontaneous find of kidney cancer. Due to her carefulness I was able to get treatment for the cancer.She gave me better advice that the cancer specialist. I listened to her and did what she suggested and I am cancer free today. She wanted the cancer removed immediately before it spread. The oncologist said that I could wait because the cancer was slow growing and we could watch it. It seemed like to be me best to have the surgery before it spread and while I was younger rather than wait years, as I was told I could do. Dr. Toth was on target.I also like that she treated me as a whole person and not just person needing knee surgeries.She… explained things very clearly and did a really great job of following up.She was also very kind to my sister and patient with her questions.Dr. Toth takes as much time as she needs with you.Sometimes she runs late due to emergencies or thoroughness.Four of my friends have gone to Dr. Toth and they really liked her.

Very caring and considerate doctor, very professorial and very skilled surgeon. I HIGHLY recommended her.
