Allen Yang

Allen Yang, D.O., first came to City of Hope when a close family member received treatment for pancreatic cancer at the institution in 2016. This experience reinforced his commitment to serving the community and drove a desire to connect with patients and positively impact their care during their most vulnerable moments. He chose to pursue a career in medicine to guide individuals and their loved ones in addressing their unique health needs.Dr. Yang completed his medical education at the Western University of Health Sciences and went on to undertake an emergency medicine residency at University of California Irvine Medical Center. Recognized for his academic excellence, Dr. Yang ranked in the top 10 of his medical school class and served as a chief resident during his training. He further pursued advanced training in hospice and palliative medicine through a fellowship at University of California Irvine Medical Center.Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and Corgi, …cheering for the Lakers, traveling and searching for the next best food experience.
