Dr. Allison Johnston Herbert, MD

When my OB/GYN physician told me I needed a primary care doctor I dreaded the process of finding one. This physician recommended Dr. Herbert; therefore, I 'bit the bullet' and made an appointment. Am so thankful I did. Dr. Herbert is amazing! I was recovering from shingles and she got me through the 'trauma' before my annual physical. She was thorough, compassionate and friendly. I highly recommend her.

have seen Dr. Herbert twice now-both times she made me feel like I was imposing on her time-she was all about how fast she could get out of there to the point that at the end of the appointment (by her standard) she said I can not stay in here any longer and I can not discuss your pain issue as I have stayed here to long already. When speaking with her she spends more time staring at the computer than looking at you and if she has to explain something more than once she gets an attitude about it. She shows no compassion-she has the worst bed side manners-she needs to step back and see she is not the center of the world and make more time for her patients! She needs to go back for some training-one of the worst experiences I have had. The only reason I am seeing her is that right now I do not have a choice, until I find another replacement doctor. Oh let's not forget that the wait was extremely long and then she rushes you!

I read a previous review of Dr. Herbert that cast her in a negative light. From my multiple visits with Dr. Herbert, I can say that she is the BEST primary care physician I have ever seen. My mother and I are both patients of Dr. Herbert's and both appreciate her for her intelligence, friendliness, and thoughtfulness. Every time I have seen Dr. H with a problem, she has taken a methodical approach to solve each problem, because let's face it, it's not always easy to figure out what's wrong with you. Dr. Herbert is very sensitive, considerate, and I think a great doctor for women.

Dr. Herbert needs to learn to look in her patients eyes or at least look AT them when she is talking to them instead of using that time to type her notes into the computer. Ridiculous!

I just completed my 2nd visit with Dr. Herbert. Both times I was her patient, she was on target with her diagnostics, (approach to solving my problems), and was empathetic to my symptons. Would go back to her with all of my issues! She is outstanding!
