Dr. Allison Antoinette Taylor, MD

Anti-choice. Dehumanizing experience all-round. This doctor repeatedly insulted me for zero reason, then added actual injury. Then she attempted to downplay her harm and further insult me. Dr. Taylor is clearly anti-choice. I should have found another doctor right when during the first visit she asked me if I had the same number of living children as number of pregnancies. "So you have X living children?", with X being the total number of pregnancies, not the number of births, as clearly input on the form, thinking I could trust a doctor to be focused on care, not religious bigotry. How is that not a dominating anti-choice thing to say with such a tone as well? So this trained doctor has little understanding or care about the many reasons women need abortion as the medical procedure it is. But it turns out in rural Oklahoma we have very few options, so I decided to continue so I could get the surgery I'd needed for many years. Next she made a snide comment about how long it had been… since I had had a PAP test. Not a question, not any professionalism, just snide judgmental commentary. Does she care about medical trauma or hardships that have contributed to such facts of life? Was she glad the patient had come in to get a test after so long? No. She seems only interested in using her position of power to dominate and dehumanize. All I wanted was tubal ligation, but like all other OB-GYNs I've tried to see in Texoma area, seems she is only interested in her money-making operation of babies being born. MULTIPLE times I was subjected to "are you sure?", "you know you could...", "you know you can...", "you don't have to...". When I asked about the timeline (Oklahoma hates women and makes us wait to get a surgery that will protect us from forced birth) because I HAD BEEN WANTING THIS FOR YEARS, she again assumed I had reservations. I overlooked the rude unprofessional behavior more like some mean girl at middle school than a doctor. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, "maybe it's a bad day"... was just to my own further deficit. I was nothing but kind and curteous to her. I did nothing to deserve such mistreatment. After surgery I discovered an additional wound no one had prepared me for. It was a gouge wound almost a cm wide and deep, inches away from the known belly button incision wound. It kept starting to get infected. It was very difficult to clean and care for this additional strange gouge wound that probably should have had stitches, looking back at events now. When I went for the follow-up visit I was prepared to hear some reasonable explanation. I just wanted to know why it was there, and if it needed some attention. We all have jobs where things go unexpectedly at times. But she immediately TOLD ME I WAS WRONG and proceeded to minimize everything. She said "No. I didn't do that". I said "well I was unconscious... and it appeared when I was conscious again, so...". Nope, she wasn't having it. She called it a 'scratch' and said I must have done it myself. Right, because I generally am so insensitive and clumsy I go around gouging flesh out of my belly and not remembering. Every time she FINALLY would let me speak, she dismissed and diminished my take on my own body and what's going on. She always does this with condesending 'questions', letting you know you're just an idiot. Beyond unnecessary the level of downright cruelty. Not just rudeness, not just unprofessionalism, but cruelty and harm. She seems like a psychopath who knows exactly how much abuse she can get away with and fly under the radar. HOW EASY it would have been to simply provide me care without the insults, domination, harm, and gaslighting. Thanks, Dr. Taylor for making it all the less likely I will ever have surgeries even if I need them. And guess how long it'll be before I try another GYN to get a PAP. I would recommend NOT trusting this doctor with any of your menstrual or pregnancy history in a state where women's human rights are being stri

I had to have a c-section and I was very scared. During the surgery I could hear Dr. Taylor behind the drape as she was operating on me telling the staff how dramatic I was being and how I would not have lasted anyway during labor. She told the anesthesia guy to “knock me out” so she wouldn’t have to hear me anymore. I’m assuming she didn’t know that I heard her. I thought it was very tacky and I DO NOT recommend going to her.

This woman cut my bowel during a gynecological procedure. I was in the hospital for days because of it and I even had to have another emergency surgery and was sent to the ICU and she acted like she did nothing wrong. She was rude to me and the medical staff once she realized she messed up on me. If I could say anything, it would be to NEVER LET THIS WOMAN TOUCH YOU, ESPECIALLY NOT FOR AN OPERATION! IT IS NOT WORTH THE RISK!!!!

The OBGYN was very unprofessional! I would hear her discussing my medical issues in the hallway loudly where other patients could hear including myself while I was waiting in a room. She lacks compassion on every level and makes you feel like an idiot when vocalizing your worries/concerns. I had medical issues that required a referral to specialist doctors that I needed during the duration of my pregnancy and I had to make arrangements to see them when she should have been handling that as my OBGYN. I'm so thankful that she managed to deliver a healthy baby for as I get the sense that she is a little on the incompetent side.

I recommend Dr. Allison Taylor she is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING in doing Tubal Ligations which is what I had done. She understood that I never wanted to have children and didn't hound me about it like other doctors have. She let me schedule my surgery the next week from my consultation. After she completed my surgery my incisions are as small as a dime, and my recovery time was about a week. I am so glad she is in the Texoma area, because there needs to be more good doctor's like her. Thank you so much Dr. Taylor I can live my life fuller because I knew I never wanted to have children. :)

Terrible doctor! She is cold in her approach, and not at all sympathetic. I'm not sure how she can be a woman's doctor at all. Totally unapproachable. I would not recommend her to anyone!!!

A little on the cold side as far as bedside manners go, but very business oriented and no nonsense. She'll take all your concerns and needs seriously and listens to her patients.
