Dr. Alok Shawn Bansal, MD

I was referred to Dr. Bansal for a retinal tear. On my first visit he diagnosed my problem, described the treatment I needed , and answered all of my questions. It has been nine months since I had my laser treatment and I am very happy with the results. I feel that Dr. Bansal is very skilled, very kind, and an exceptional caring doctor.

I am very picky about my doctor and Doctor Alok is the right choice. He is knowledgeable, kind, and informative. I am still an early stage patient but looking forward to working with this caring Doctor.

I had a great outcome from my surgery and I am especially thankful that Dr. Bonsal gently podded me into realizing how time urgent it was for me to get my surgery. I was not expecting the detached retina diagnosis when I first went to see my optometrist about some light shadows in my field of vision. After being referred to Dr. Bosal, he reacted quickly and we had surgery that afternoon. Dr. Bonsal was very exacting in explaining all the treatment options and listing the advantages and risks of each procedure. He cited very specific outcome percentages and made sure I had a very good understanding of my choices. Iâ??m also confident that Dr. Bonsalâ??s surgical skills are top notch as all the independent support staff at the hospital referenced his great skill both before and after the procedure. After care was excellent as well, and I also underwent some quick lasering in the office as a preventative measure on my other eye.

Plainly said, Dr. Alok S. Bansal is amazing. He explains everything, is perfectly professional and friendly, really listens and asks questions, and genuinely makes you feel like your are visiting a friend. The staff are also wonderful, caring, and friendly. I never have felt like a client but rather am treated as a friend.

Extremely pleased with all aspects of Dr. Bansal and his office. They are professional, courteous and thorough. I researched Retina specialist and narrowed my selection to 3 retina specialist groups. I'm glad I got Dr. Bansal from the Retina Vitreous Associates Medical Group. He made me feel at ease and I was confident on Dr. Bansal's abilities. I first saw Dr. Bansal on an emergency basis when I tore my retina. I can't say enough good things about the care I received, as well as Dr. Bansal's bedside manner. I needed laser surgery on an emergency basis and he explained everything to me so I wouldn't be nervous. He provided terrific follow-up care and was always available to answer my questions. My eye healed beautifully and I continue to see Dr. Bansal on an annual basis.

Dr. Bansal was excellent. He skillfully repaired a tear with laser. Then a week later my retina detached and he immediately scheduled me for surgery. The retinal attachment surgery was painless and it healed very well. I am very grateful for the care and treatment given me by Dr. Bansal/ He explained everything very well to me.

I have had nothing but the greatest service and help from Dr. Alok Bansal. I had a very serious retinal infection, and was in danger of losing the sight in my right eye. Because of the great and professional care of Dr. Bansal, I now have not only healed in the right eye, but have 20/30 vision. Praise the Lord! He is the one of greatest. Thank you.
