Dr. Alvin Schmidt, MD

Great concerned and dedicated doctor. Always available and. Dedicated to helping his patients Been his patient since he started and I think he is the greatest.

Dr. Schmidt is great but his helper Sandi is about as rude as can be. She's always unpleasant and always has a puss on her face. She can be very short with patients as well. The other girls are very pleasant and easy to talk to. I would recommend Dr. Schmidt but would advise to steer clear of Sandi.

Has been my doctor for 35 years. Simply the best.

My husband has been going to this doctor for years. Last year his blood tests showed high problems for kidneys and cholesterol. I tried to get this doctor by phone to no avail. Went with the report to his office, and told the receptionist I would wait. He stormed out and was miffed that I just showed up, and although I told him I was concerned about my husband, he never called us. He never advised another physician. My husband had a heart attack three weeks ago. The hospital informed Dr. Schmidt. He never called us. Never visited the hospital. The thing my husband liked about him was his yearly check up was fast. This doctor has no heart in my opinion.

I had a few bad healthcare plans and a few really bad internists. Fortunately I never had any illness or injury requiring any expertise. Fortunately I got a better insurance plan and started seeing Dr. Schmidt.Dr. Schmidt is intelligent, thorough, and is easy to talk to. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. If he needs to refer you to a specialist he has a wide network of excellent physicians.

Despite having to wait for twenty minutes Dr. Schmidt spent as much time with me as I required, and I felt he was actually listening to me, that I wasn't just getting the brush off so that he could get to his next appointment. Moreover, everyone I spoke to in his waiting room absolutely raved about him - I'm sure that is why he and the staff are always so busy. He is easily the most caring, professional physician I have ever been to.

Best doctor I have ever had by far!

Thorough, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and caring. He speaks quickly though. It's good to have your questions ready when you see him. He will definitely take time to answer.

Dr. Schmidt really cares about the people he sees and he listens carefully to every word told to him. I know he continues to think about the person for days after meeting with him, because he's called me to discuss a problem I have or mailed me helpful information and coupons to help pay for medications I need long after my appt. with him. He is kind, caring, respectful, takes all the time you (the patient) need. I've never had to wait long for an appt., but if I did, I would know it's because he's giving someone the time she/he needs, just like I would want--so it's okay. I didn't think there were doctors like Dr. Schmidt left anymore, until someone recommended him to me. I'm glad he's a 'young' man, because I hope he doesn't retire for a long, long time. The world needs more doctors like Dr. Schmidt.
