Dr. Ama Asantewaa Tyus, MD

Dr. Ama Tyus has excellent bedside manner, and is very knowledgeable regarding healthy natural diet lifestyles. It is so awesome that she hosts many themed group sessions throughout the year, which encourages clients/patients to level up their health in all aspects of their lives, such as mindfulness practices, healthy and cost effective cooking with minimal recipes, yoga sessions, awareness coaching, etc. Truly a valuable doctor to have, I'm so glad my friend referred me to Dr. Tyus, and I certainly refer others to her, can't recommend her enough.

Takes time to understand patients needs and prescribes a wellness plan for managing chronic disease.

I had an follow up appointment with her and when I got there it was a meditation session going so when I get to the back we talking then she say to me she need for me stay for meditation I told her I wasn't there for that I was there for my follow up then she say to me you could be going to Unity or Stanton rd she not there ti give me a referral nor the medication she there to heal me how can you force someone to do something they not comfortable with I felt discriminated and hurt I grabbed my things and told her she right I did what she said I went to Unity.

Dr. Tyus is a community gem within her own right. Her wholistic approach to medicine and healing is revolutionary. Her central aim is to use diet and healthy living as tools to heal the whole person: mind, body and spirit. The classes she offers to her patients are life changing. Dr. Tyus is my first encounter with a family doctor who truly cares about life long healing opposes to temperary fixes. I have been a patient of doctor Tyus’ for over 5 years. My entire family including my dad, daughter, brother and sister are all now patients of Dr. Tyus. She is attentive, thorough and very knowledgeable about her craft. Her team is efficient and friendly which creates a warm, inviting atmosphere. I am 100% satisfied with Dr. Tyus’ medical practice.

This doctor staff is very rude, and she is not a very focused doctor. She does not look at previous medical history before treating patience at all.
