Dr. Votruba completed medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and her residency through a joint program at UNMC and Creighton University Medical Center. Dr. Votruba loves children, and seeing how dynamic they are makes her happy to go into work every single day. Early in her career, people would tell her that her love of caring for kids would lead to her becoming a pediatrician. Their prediction came true, as Dr. Votruba loves treating children on a daily basis. She also loves a good challenge?ince many of her patients are too young to communicate with her, she loves the task of figuring out how to go about treating them.

I scheduled a apt yesterday. I called at 8am to cancel because shes sleeping and resting feeling much better. I told her if she continues to feel scrappy later well call and get her in. GABBY told me we aren't allowed to come back because we no called no showed. Even afyer speaking to a nurse. Poor communication and made me feel horrible. I hate receptionists who do this and argue. My daughter was sleeping right next to me I had to get up and leave and write this review. Sad

Absolutely fantastic doctor! She is very caring and keeps up with what is going on with my children, following up on conversations we've had at previous appointments. We've had issues in the past with liking a doctor's bedside manner but frustrated with 'medical experience/saavyness' or vice-versa, but not with Dr. Votruba: she blends these together ideally.

Dr. Votruba is WONDERFUL! She combines the professionalism of a knowledgeable doctor with the ease and sensitivity of a mom (because she is!). I was kind of overwhelmed with the idea of having to find a pediatrician for my new baby, but now feel so fortunate to be in her care. Her office personnel and nurses are just as kind, professional, and competent as she is. She is so good at what she does I am placing my 12 year old son under her care now instead of using a regular physician. I just can't say enough "good" about her!
