Amber Beckman, PA-C

Originally from rural Garrett County, Maryland, Amber has always felt a strong connection to small communities and the people who call them home. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Frostburg State University before completing her physician assistant education at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia.Amber began her career practicing family medicine and dermatology in a small West Virginia community. In 2019, she joined DispatchHealth in Las Vegas, Nevada, providing urgent and post-acute care follow-ups to patients in their homes. She later continued her work with DispatchHealth in Austin, Texas. With more than eight years of experience in urgent care, Amber especially enjoys performing procedures, meeting new people, and building meaningful connections with her patients.Outside of medicine, Amber and her husband, Alec, an ICU registered nurse and U.S. Army veteran, love road trips, PC gaming, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. She has recently …taken up birding and is excited to discover the many bird species of the Four Corners region. Amber and Alec share their adventures with their two rescue heelers, Lola and Texas, who have traveled across the country with them.Amber is excited to make Southern Colorado home and looks forward to caring for and becoming part of the community at Southwest Health System.
