After explaining to me about how a UTI is tested, (I was mistaken and so was my GP) Dr prescribed medication that has a couple of side affects. Oxyibuton is medication he recommended. It has some very serious side affects.

Don't trust this doctor!!!! My cancer spread to the bladder. Dr Fergany surgically removed the bladder and replaced it with an internal "Indiana pouch." From that point onward I must use a catheter to empty the pouch. After I was released from the hospital (The Cleveland Clinic) I traveled across country to my home and began using the catheters the hospital ordered. The hospital erroneously ordered the wrong type of catheter. I had to reuse the ones given to me by the hospital until the correct ones arrived. I developed a urinary tract infection, was hospitalized for weeks and during my hospital stay developed a number of other infections. My diagnosis was Sepsis, a very serious condition. I have left numerous messages with Dr Fergany's assistant over a four month period but Dr Fergany has not returned my calls! It is entirely unethical to give absolutely no attention to a very sick patient post surgery. He should lose his medical license for violating his professional… responsibilities.

This Dr. dismissed all my concerns! My previous dr at Cleveland was amazing but he left and this dr took over and was rude bedside manner was awe full! He also said that he doesn’t know what the meaning of one of my results was! I was told over the phone by another dr ASAP! And he told me that it was totally not necessary! Even though all my symptoms said so! Please stay away from this dr!

I have been a Nurse for 20 years, and in the intensive and emergency fields. When I found out that I had a tumor, I wanted the best. Dr. Fergany is the best!!! The office staff was a huge help, I lived nearly 6 hours away, and when I called they got me in to see him in 3 days. They are great about calling you and letting you know where to be and what time to be there. Cleveland clinic is huge and at times very confusing to get from parking building to p building, to q building and back to c building... but they were great with not just me, but with my family. When I first met him, he was positive, and was ready to wage war on this tumor. Thats what I wanted.. (I truly think, he wants to destroy it!!!) He was my second Dr. that had looked at my situation, and his confidence in the procedure, and his knowledge of this disease was incredible. Just read his work, he is so highly motivated to fight kidney and prostate cancer.His bedside manner was ok, nice guy, and he visited me a few… times, but they were on top of every detail and still are, even when I got home his office calls about once a month to check on me. The Best!!!!

Dr Fergany performed a pelvic exenteration on my Dad recently, removing bladder, prostate and a large urothelial (adenocarcinoma?)type tumor that had invaded both organs.Overgrowing and surrounding all this was another completely different small cell, undifferentiated tumor of undefined origin that was rapidly dividing.Because of it's proximity, Dad's rectum was considered to be involved and also removed. Father is 87, yet tolerated the surgery very well. I feel Dr Fergany has given my Dad a chance to live versus a diagnosis of "inoperable" he would have gotten at a regional hospital.Dr Fergany's PA, anesthesiology (pain management), Stoma nurses, nursing staff, the Urology residents all have been completely responsive, anticipating problems and giving Dad the best of care until his discharge to a nursing home this past Friday. Dr Fergany has done excellent surgery on our behalf. He brings a focused and caring attitude to the bedside. He waits and observes, explains and consults in a… humble and caring way.
