Dr. Amy Laura Catalano, PhD

Amy is good until it comes time to separate from her clinically. She unfortunately does not display any empathy during what is a very hard time.... especially if you aren’t ready to separate. When she said it was time for us to stop seeing each other, it was as though she turned into a person that I did not know and she was actually my therapist for 10 years!! On my last day, she was mean, instead of talking about things that we had achieved together over the years, she kept referring to me as stubborn, and she wanted to cut my appointment time by 20 minutes . It’s not like she ever gave me an extra 20 minutes .i feel she could benefit from a class on The Effects of Clinical Separation on the Client

I saw Dr. Catalano for about four years to deal with work stress and depression. She was a huge help - taught me practical coping mechanisms for my stress and helped me through a tough time when a family member became ill. I definitely recommend her.
