Dr. Amy Eluned Schlaifer

She does not explain conditions or procedure reactions well, never spoke to spouse after surgery, does not respond to urgent calls or offer any sympathy or understanding to patients in pain, most of office staff are disinterested, unfriendly, uncaring to patients.

Condescending and unsympathetic demeanor towards patients. I have never felt so disrespected by a doctor before. Please seek medical advice elsewhere.

I saw the mostly negative reviews on the internet about this doctor and should have heeded them. I wanted to take care of some medical issues before the next wave of Covid hysteria hits, and she was the first appointment I could get, so I thought I would give her the benefit of the doubt, as some folks write reviews because of personal grievances or out of spite, etc. Well as I said, I should have considered the advice of the reviews. Even though this provider comes up to Prescott one day a week, the earliest appointment available was down in Phoenix, so I drove down from Prescott. After a staff person took my vitals, the doctor came in with a laptop, introduced herself, and spent the rest of the very short appointment engaged with the laptop. Her attitude was condescending, and she would not listen to my concerns, continually cutting me off mid-sentence. She said the main condition I was seeing her about was not yet advanced enough for surgery, that surgery was the only way to correct… it, and that the surgery might not work. She cut me off before I could discuss any of the less-invasive treatments I wanted to talk with her about, including one procedure that her company advertises on their website. For the other condition I was seeing her about, she said she was writing a prescription. No one gave me a prescription as I was leaving, and no one called one in to the pharmacy I go to, which I had entered on the intake form. I called the company 2 days later to inquire about this, and a staff member said she would look into it. No one got back to me. I followed up with an email. No reply. Am still waiting. However, their billing department is very efficient—I received the bill very quickly. I see why the reviews of others are the way they are, and my heart goes out to those folks.

My husband had BPH for 8 years, UTI's and then developed bladder stones & a kidney stone of which 2 doctors spent almost 2 months trying to remove. The doctors told him his bladder would never work again on its own. We were referred to Dr. Schlaifer and she performed one, 1 hour surgery and removed all the stones and fixed the BPH problem, His dignity & life have been restored thanks to Dr. Schlaifer. We think she is a true blessing. She has also cured an ongoing problem for me which 3 doctors failed to do. Thank You, Dr. Schlaifer, the Zerbe's

First the office should in no way be used as a doctor’s office. There is no privacy and because it is so open everything echos. I waited over an hour to be called back. I was first asked to give a urine sample in one of the most disgusting bathrooms I have ever been in. There were four other samples just sitting on the top of the tank. The floor was sticky and grimy. It was the last thing I expected to see at a urologist’s office especially when you are trying to get a clean catch urine sample. Once I saw Dr. Schlaifer she was rude and condescending. She would ask me a question and no matter what I said she acted like it was the dumbest thing she’d ever heard. She also told me that people with recurrent UTI’s often have cancer and in the next breath told me that she couldn’t do the procedure to check for 2 months or more. I felt belittled and unimportant to her as she took no time to really talk to or listen to me. I believe she just wants to push as many people through as she can so… she can money grab. A family member works in surgery at a hospital in one of the towns she works in. Dr. Schlaifer was caught telling patients that another urologist was retiring and she was taking over their patients. That was a blatant lie and if I had known that before I went to see her I would have never gone. She is untrustworthy and had no interest in helping patients. I will not be returning.

If you are in the Prescott area, I highly recommend Dr, Amy Schlaifer as the best Urologist in town! Very thorough and proactive. This lady is very good, even with having a very busy office. Hopefully she will add another day to her schedule in Prescott.

Very informative, kind, caring. She took her time carefully explained every step of the procedure and answered every concern and questions in both medical and lay persons language.

Dr. Amy just removed my kidney 2 weeks ago. She has always been caring and thoughul to me, an "advocate". I just wish I was better instructed on the whole recovery process. But, maybe I should have asked more questions. Hoping for a full recovery.
