Dr Kotecha was the Best! Saved me from going to the ER!

Dr. Kotecha is efficient, kind and competent. I have no idea why there is a negative rating on this board stating that "every patient is diagnosed with glaucoma" or that her billing staff is rude and mean. This is complete nonsense. I am a patient, and although I was screened for glaucoma, as good practice requires, I was told I do NOT have glaucoma. So am I the outlier? I doubt it. Dr. Kotecha has been patient, kind and decisive in my treatment, and her staff has been competent and efficient. I can see if you are a patient and you try to skip out on paying your bill that you might want to badmouth a medical practice, but honestly all it takes is a visit to realize that the negative postings are defamatory and baseless. I have confidence in Dr. Kotecha as a practitioner and believe that she has done me a great service in treating a difficult eye condition successfully.

Dr. Kotecha is a nice person, but her practice is absolutely terrible. Looks like everyone she examines gets a diagnosis of glaucoma! My sister went to another ophthalmologist for a second opinion and got the opposite diagnosis! Her billing department fails to credit payments and refers her patients to collection agency; now, I am struggling to repair my credit. Stay away from this practice for your own good!

Dr Kotecha is great. Caring, down to earth and efficient. The staff is usually accommodating at giving me appointments when I need them. I refer all of my coworkers here. Across from the metro.

She is a sweet gentle person who makes you feel relaxed. Dr. Kotecha explains her findings to let you know how things changed from the last exam and what that means. She is conveniently across the Virginia Square metro stop on the Orange Line. There is also paid parking in the back or you can park at Ballston Commons Mall a 10 minute walk away and pay $1. Good place to relax while your eyes undialate.

I had to bring my 6 year old daughter to Dr Kotecha because she had scratched her eye. My daughter was in quite a bit of discomfort and was not very cooperative for the doctor. Dr K was wonderful and sweet. (and she speaks Spanish too) She got her to open her eyes, and quickly diagnosed the problem. My baby was running around the house by the next evening again:)
