Dr. Amy Lynn Proffitt, MD

Simply the best , I feel blessed having Dr. Proffitt as my Internist .

If you care anything about your health (or that of a loved one), DO NOT go to see this woman! She cares NOTHING about her patients - only interested in money! She will get you addicted to narcotics and then drop you because she is afraid of losing her license! I have reported her to every agency that I can think of of - hopefully, one of them will be able to stop her.

Dr. Proffitt has been my PCP ever since she came to State of Franklin Healthcare. When she comes in the room she always has a smile on her face, a warm greeting, and a copy of my lab report for me, with her comments written on it. While I know she has a full schedule and needs to keep moving, she never appears rushed. She is patient, thorough, professional and kind; remembering and asking about things with my family and life. She responds quickly to correspondence through the Health Portal, and I truly appreciate her!

I have been a patient of Dr Profitt for over 5 years and I have always been impressed with the fact that she really cares about her patients. She looks at the results of all blood work and other tests before she comes in so that she knows who I am and what my issues are when she starts talking. She has excellent communication skills, she really listens and always clearly describes my results and what they mean. When necessary she refers me to outstanding specialists that she knows will provide the best care. She is truly outstanding and a credit to her profession!

My husband and I have been treated by her for 13 years. She is truly a wonderful doctor. Her knowledge and listening skiills are exceptional. Plus truly caring for her patients.

Amy Proffitt has been my primary care physician for the past several years. She has proven to be compassionate and empathetic to my concerns and takes input seriously. Dr. Proffitt listens closely to her patients and works to address any physical or emotional needs presented. Her nurse practioner, Amy Fleming, is nearly always available when we have an urgent need for an appointment. They are both a blessing to my family.
