Dr. Amy Mcgarry Sweeney, MD

Amy McGarry Sweeney, M.D. is originally from suburban New York. She received her Bachelor's of Arts in Russian language and literature in 1990 from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. She received her Medical Degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1998. Dr. Sweeney moved to Washington, DC, after medical school graduation. She completed residency training at Georgetown University Medical Center and continued on for an additional year as chief pediatric resident. She worked in general pediatrics in suburban Maryland prior to joining Foxhall Pediatrics in May 2003. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She enjoys all aspects of general pediatrics but has a special interest in infant care and development as well as school and learning problems.
