Dr. Ana Maria Delgado, MD

Front desk is very rude almost like you are an inconvenience. Customer service is horrendous. If you need information or x-rays sent somewhere...,,,,,good luck. Front desk tells you they will return your call or have the Dr. do it, but I never get a return call and have to call them back. I have a daughter in college 8 hours away who had a bad accident and needed to see an ear, nose, throat Dr for a broken nose and we couldn’t even get the DR to write a referral. She expected her to drive back 8 hours to get seen.

Aside from the fact that she’s never in office, when you do get in for a visit, she’s rude, degrading and condescending. Happened twice. Never going back.

Dr. Delgado may be a very good Dr., I don't know, but she's certainly not my kind of Dr.! I recently moved to the area and on our very first visit, she ordered blood work. Great. I was happy about that. She then scheduled an appointment one month out to explain the results. I'm a proactive patient, so went to pick up a copy of the results as soon as they came back. I saw that I was once again hypothyroid. I've had thyroid issues for 34 years, so am well informed regarding fluctuations, blood test results and the need to increase/decrease dosages of synthroid. As a matter of fact, due to the fact that my thyroid has fluctuated so much this past year, I have several different dosages on hand. (I'd been working with the same Dr. prior to moving to this area) I called Dr. Delgado's office the day I received the blood test results so that we could discuss increasing the dosage. She was unavailable and never returned my call. With such a sluggish thyroid, I did not want to wait another 3 1/2… weeks before seeing her, so took it upon myself to begin taking the (1 step up) increased dose of synthroid. When Dr. and I met for my next appointment, she was very obviously displeased with me for doing that on my own, and 2 days later I received a certified letter stating that she would no longer be my physician. Fine with me. I wouldn't have gone back to her anyway. I want a Doctor who will work WITH me toward good health. One who will call me when she sees something wrong on a blood test, so that we can take the proper steps, not one who seems to be on an ego trip with no regard to a patient who has dealt with her thyroid issues for 34 years. Like I said, she may be a good Dr. I don't know. Just not the kind of Dr. I'm looking for.

She's a poor excuse for a dr.

Dr. is very informative on all her advise and treatment-backed up by lab work along with history she make her Diagnosis. they are very good at record keeping.

Made an appointment and the doctor ordered blood tests. After she received the results she had her office person call and cancel the appointment and would not explain why. So, now have to pay for the blood tests with no doctors review.

I had been seeing her for quite a while when she sent me to a specialist. He talked to me and said we can go ahead and do the test she is asking for but I don't think that is the problem, I think it is this other issue which was what I thought too. When I went back to her snd she saw that I had not had the test done she asked why when I started to tell her she stormed out the door saying , I hadn't listened to her. She never let me tell her what he had said to me.

My late mother went to Dr. Delgado for several years and liked her. When she questioned the Dr. and asked for a second opinion, my mother had a letter that came in the mail the very next day that said that Dr. Delgado was dropping her as a patient!!! I've been around doctors all my life and this was the first time I had ever heard of this!!
