Dr. Ana Elizabeth Miranda Maldonado, MD

It's been years since I had this encounter with this doctor - but I think about it from time to time. This is how terrible she was. I went to see her because I was having severe stomach pain. As I was explaining, she suggested all she could do was give me a colonoscopy - thinking this would scare me..when I said yes Ill have one done she said "no - you're too young. You don't need it." HUH? But wait it gets better..she told me.. (and I was about 19-20 at this time).."Did you go to medical school or did I go to medical school?" wow. I told her obviously I haven't I just started college. Then I just left to leave a bad review. The woman in the administrative office told me several people have complained about her. Turned out a had an issue with my small intestine and needed antibiotics (thanks to seeing a different doctor). Imagine seeing her for a life threatening issue. Wow. Get a different job if you don't like being a physician.

Iâ??m pretty thick-skinned when it comes to doctors, but meeting with Dr. Maldonado was really distressing. She was contemptuous--and aggressively unpleasant--from the moment she entered the room. Literally sneered at my concerns and questions. She blithely ignored any and all information from my medical historyâ?¦about which, I might add, she ASKED absolutely nothing. Dr. Maldonado demonstrated through her every word, gesture and response (including eye-rolls) that she had no interest whatsoever in my heath or well-being. In short, sadly, a genuinely dreadful doctor--utterly lacking in bedside manner, listening skills, or any visible interest in or concern for the patient who had come to see her for help. Really expected better from an organization like Kaiser Permanente.
