Dr. Ana Despina Stan, MD

I had my first appointment with Dr. Ana Stan at Psychiatry Associates, and I cannot say enough positive things about my experience. She took an incredible amount of time to thoroughly review my full history and truly understand my background. I never once felt rushed. Instead, I felt genuinely listened to, respected, and cared for. Dr. Stan is compassionate, thoughtful, and extremely thorough in her approach. She explained things clearly and made me feel completely comfortable discussing personal matters. It was clear that she is deeply committed to providing individualized, high-quality care. I finally feel like I’ve found someone I can trust and connect with—especially being able to meet in person rather than through telehealth appointments. I truly feel like I was meant to find her. I highly recommend Dr. Ana Stan to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and attentive psychiatrist.

Dr. Stan got me on the right meds, but appointments with her always felt uncomfortable. She seemed to talk down to me and not take interest in my needs. She also cancelled my appointments for two months right before she moved practices. I was not informed of the move until I showed up to my appointment. Overall, would not recommend if you are looking for a compassionate, reliable psychiatrist.

She is able to explain scenarios and conditions so I understand what's going on and am continuously intrigued. Dr. Stan always has great insight, really cares and wants you to feel good, at ease, and empowered as a person. She has a lovely presence that always makes you feel comfortable and truly cared for. I always look forward to my next session with Dr. Stan

Dr. Stan got me on the right medicine but was not at all someone that I looked forward to seeing. She was dismissive and patronizing. What's worse is that when she moved practices I was not notified until I showed up for my appointment (I had to drive 3 hrs to her clinic). Unacceptable.
