Dr. Anchel Furman, MD

Dr. Furman abandoned myself and my terminally ill husband without giving us our pain meds or a referral to another dr. He also refuses to call the pain mgmt dr. back so that dr. cannot help us. The next stop is the E.R., then a lawyer.

Dr Furman has been my Dr since the 90's when he was at Arroyo Seco Medical. He is so caring. When I was in the hospital having knee replacement he came every night even though my ortho was in the morning. He listens and is extremely knowledgeable . I would recommend Dr Furman to anyone.. His office staff always try's to accomadate you and if you need a refill on your scripts they get back to the pharmacy ASA9

Takes the time to be with you and call you on the weekends to follow up with you

Dr. Furman has been my primary care physician for many years. I continue to see him even though I now live in West LA, and it's a haul to drive to Pasadena. He's a doctor capable of doing much more complex (and highly paid) work, yet he chooses to stay in primary care because he loves it. He chooses a small practice so he can focus on patient care, not politics. I wish people knew that he makes less money than he could because he puts his patients first. He's thorough and diligent, and very competent. I'm a healthcare consultant, and Dr. Furman has an excellent reputation among his fellow physicians in Los Angeles. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Furman was referred by my brother's friend. I visited Dr. Furman's office three times so far. He is a nice doctor with very friendly attitude. But the office management is horrible especially the office manager Rosa. This lady has supper bad attitude. She didn't know what she was doing and made lots billing mistakes. She treated the patient like we owned them lots of money. When I tried to discuss her mistakes she made over my billing statement, she didn't even give an apology and just tried to figure out an excuse to cover it. So unprofessional. Anyways, I'm going to switch my doc for sure. Feel so bad to Dr. Furman that he has such a lousy manager!!!

Dr. Furman has been my personal physician for around 15 years. He provides excellent and thoughtful care. His follow up is excellent. I have received calls in the evening and on the weekends after he receives my lab results, negative or positive. If he has concerns, he will ask me to call him.He takes whatever time is needed on each visit. I am fortunate to have him as my physician.
