Dr. Andre Hollis Lagrange, MD, PhD

It's always a great experience with Dr Lagrange, and I believe things get better.

Excellent compassionate neurologist, he has consistently worked with me to prevent seizures. I always have his attention when I am in the office and I am usually there for more than 45 minutes. Dr Lagrange is a superior doctor.

I was introduced to Andre Lagrange at the Nashville VA Hospital. Lagrange's first impression was sweet and caring, but that quickly ended when I began asking questions about my diagnosis and treatment. Lagrange told me, "you shouldn't nitpick". This coming from a doctor AND associate professor, who also told me he was unable to pull my central line because he is "used to looking at screens all day", is unacceptable. Lagrange is clearly not used to his patients asking questions or wanting to be involved in every decision of their health care. He was also rude to his resident neurologist and the kitchen staff. You can tell a HC professional's character by how they treat others.... As a healthcare professional myself, I do not recommend.

Although Dr. Lagrange seems very nice and intelligent, his office staff are impossible to reach. I always dread calling them because it takes forever for somebody to answer the phone. My pharmacy even had a very difficult time getting in contact with the office staff to get permission for a refill. How do I expect to get treatment if the doctor and his staff is always unavailable?

Dr. Lagrange is the best, period. He knows the very latest advancements every visit, and always shares and explains and applies them when needed. He is so good about listening as well as talking. He is also very caring and sincere. Yes, he's busy...for a good reason...he's the best.

While I liked Dr. Lagrange himself initially and he did correctly diagnose me, his office staff leaves everything to be desired. It took 5 times of being corrected for them to spell my first name correctly on the third visit. I've waited for a full six months for an appointment only to be called and informed that Dr. Lagrange would not be in the office indefinitely with no real explanation. It took my pharmacy a week solid and multiple phone calls from me to have a prescripion refill approved. The staff seem incompetent and my overall impresssion is that he isn't very interested in his paitents. If you don't want to be my doctor fine have the guts to say so instead of jerking me around so much I give up on you. Some of the 1 stars are only because it didn't seem 0 stars was an available option.

He is such a caring and friendly Doctor. He takes a lot of time in his office answering my questions and concerns.Most of his clinic visits last 45 minutes to an hour. He is so thorough about explaining my seizures and medications. Because of Dr. Andre Lagrange's care and knowledge, I have not had a seizure for almost 2 years.

An excellent doctor I would recommend him to anyone

I will say that Dr. Lagrange is one of the best doctors that I have. I have to brag on him for his caring nature. Also, he is a very busy doctor (he is booked months ahead), but he always works you in when you need to see him.
