Dr. Andrea Marie Abbott, MD

Dr. Abbott was my oncology surgeon for breast cancer. I had a 8 hour surgery for bilateral mastectomy only to find out a few days later that she failed to remove my cancer. It was still there in its entirety. How can you do a surgery without verifying that the cancer has been removed? I had to undergo the same procedure again, she again failed to remove the entire breast tissue. As a result I need to have a MRI every two years. In addition to her non-existing surgical skills , what I found most appalling was her arrogant, non-apologetic demeanor and complete lack of bedside manners about it. I still have a lot to say but the most important point for me is for other women to be aware of this and to make sure they choose the right oncology surgeon for them.

All these 1 star reviews are a load of bull and probably not authentic. Dr. Abbott is great and she really goes the extra mile to ease your fears after a terrifying cancer diagnosis. She will tell you the absolute truth, good or bad, but she also points out the positive things that are possible and gives you all of the information to make the best decision for your long term health. Just terrific, we are so lucky to have her in South Carolina.

Dr Abbott takes her time to listen to every concern and question. She carefully develops a treatment plan based on individuality. She treats her patients like family and not a number. I would take any healthcare advise from her without a question
