Do not waste your time. Terrible unprofessional office staff!!

I've never rated a doctor - and office - poorly before, but after my initial visit, I could not return. I saw the poor reviews before my visit but I was very concerned about an issue and was able to see her the day after I called. All other neurologists took 1-2 months for an appointment. Now I know why. Without going into detail, suffice it to say that most everything about this office, medical staff and doctor was very concerning. The signs everywhere banning any kind of audio or video recording only further made me wonder why.

She was fine when I only had a random migraine here and there, but freaked out when I had a stroke and dissection. Her excuses were illogical and she tried to blame me for being sick. I got the feeling that she felt like she was over her head so we agreed that I would move on. Her staff couldn't transfer the paperwork for weeks. It was a nightmare. Don't waste your time with this office.

I feel very deceived! Thinking I was signing the usual "you agree to pay whatever the insurance does not," I apparently signed a form saying I would get my own referral or be responsible for the charges. I've never seen this form before and was not on the lookout for that. I would not have been there if my doctor had not referred me, and I assumed all the referrals had been done. I don't even know HOW to do that! So if you go to this Doctor WATCH OUT FOR THAT LITTLE FORM AND MAKE SURE YOUR REFERRALS ARE IN ORDER! This mistake cost me $860! I recommend finding another doctor who does not use deceptive techniques to avoid having to make their own referrals. I would not REFER you to this doctor.

I wish I could rate this place 0 stars. I don't even know where to begin. I was referred to this place by my doctor and was eager to get answers on my condition. I showed up 25 minutes early to my 1:30 appointment to fill out paperwork. By 1:45 two people had already been called back before me when they said their appointment times were 1:40 and 1:45. I didn't think much of it because I understand people run behind. Boy, was I wrong. By 2:05 I was finally called back by the nurse, keep in mind this is 35 minutes after my scheduled time and I was already there for an hour at this point. The nurse was very sweet, and I thought things were looking up. She spent probably 5 minutes with me and said the doctor should be with me shortly. At 2:40 I had still not seen a doctor, nor had anyone informed me of when I would. I went out to ask, and there was a doctor out there saying she would be with me in a second. She comes in and introduces herself as the Dr. Raymond's assistant. She took down… history and did a quick neurological screen and that's it. I waited ANOTHER 15-20 minutes and the assistant came back in and told me Dr. Raymond has a cough and cannot see you. She proceeded to tell me that she spoke with Dr. Raymond about my condition and Dr. Raymond thinks that I have Multiple Sclerosis, and that I need to have MRIs and EMGs done. This is where I was super frustrated, not only did I wait over 2 hours to not see a doctor, she also came to the conclusion that I have MS just by looking at a piece of paper. Which is not only unsettling, but extremely unprofessional to do to a young girl who has just been diagnosed with fibromyaliga three weeks prior that SHE NEVER EXAMINE HERSELF. I went to the front desk to schedule the follow ups and they could not get me in. At this point, I gave up and told them I was going elsewhere. This place is the most unprofessional, horribly run healthcare service I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. After reading the other reviews, I do not believe she had this cough. There is zero communication between staff and they clearly do not care about anything that is going on during your daily schedule. I spent a total of 2 hours and 30 minutes at this place only to be told I was not going to see the doctor I was referred to. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS DOCTOR'S OFFICE again, and i recommend that no one else does as well.

She started our conversation answering all her own questions. I gave a comment from past observation with neurologist . She became offended and ended our session. She walked me to the door asking to give co-pay. This was disheartening and left me feeling ill. Especially since I came to address sudden spells of dizziness. Do the community favor and avoid this person.

I've noticed that Dr. Raymond tends to have both great and terrible reviews, and I can tell you why. It's because she can be very warm and caring....until she isn't. The problem is that anything can set her off, and then she completely loses control. And it rarely has anything to do with the patient. In my case, we had about finished my fourth appt and she was wrapping up, writing me a couple of prescriptions and telling me when to come back. And then I made the mistake of asking about a diagnosis, and it was like a switch flipped in her brain. She immediately started yelling at me and saying some terrible things, and then she literally kicked me out of her office and practically pushed me down the hall to the door. The whole time this was going on I was in shock, because it made no sense. I was very nice to her, and didn't want her to feel bad if she didn't have a diagnosis yet, so I was very gentle in how I brought it up. From what I've learned since, it doesn't take much to… set her off. It's extremely upsetting because she can be so nice, and you don't know what you could have done wrong. She's also extremely rude to her PAs. If they spend time doing a good job with you, they pay for it - and she does it in front of the patient! Don't waste your time with her. She isn't very good at diagnosing, and you never know when she'll flip for no apparent reason, and then you've wasted all the time and money you've invested. The AMA should really be looking at her volatile and unprofessional behavior more closely.

I decided to attend a Doctor's appointment with my mom after she received numerous test results and I hoped to help keep the process clear and organized for my mom. We expected the Doctor Raymond to be there but the PA ran the appointment. I understood as we had 5 detailed tests to go over and it would not be cost effective for a doctor to explain the results. The PA was kind but disorganized and the appointment dragged on a a bit. I know my mom had some cognition issues so I was there to help and take notes. I tried to keep us on track and noticed after almost an hour the PA had not gone over the test we were most concerned about. I redirected the conversation to that test and the results were upsetting. I then had questions after she suggested a second seizure med for my mom who does not have seizures and it dragged on a bit more as she had to leave to ask the doctor about that. Soon after we wrapped up and got up to leave. Then the doctor came in as we were standing in doorway to… leave and I smiled and said thanks for stopping by. She then went on to berate us for taking too much of the PA's time. I sat there is shock as the PA was not managing the time and if she was over she could have moved through the test results faster. The doctor had previously told us to wait to get all results so the appointment would be most productive. We were absorbing upsetting news and I was truly in shock at the doctor's aggressive tone. I told her I was disappointed with how she was treating my mom and that her tone is upsetting both of us. I had displeasure in my voice but it was no way raised as I later verified with a staff member. Dr Raymond escalated the situation greatly and said we needed to leave instead of simply apologizing - a big no no - showing she has no training in customer relations. I just stood there quiet in disbelief. When I did not move immediately she threatened to escort me out- WHAT! I have no idea how she is in business. I read other reviews online that said she was verbally abusive. I felt abused and kept on replaying how I could have handled it better but some people are just toxic. I am so glad I was there for my mom as a witness to this abusive behavior. This is especially important as my mom has history of abuse and violent crime. I understand the doctor has a business to run but have no idea how she achieved anything by berating my mother for her lack of understanding. I saw a hearing impaired person at check out and wondered if she was berated for not hearing. Do not send a family member here!

I've read some negative reviews here but I have had only positive experiences at Dr. Raymond's office. I have been seeing a neurologist for migraines for over 20 years and when I moved to Austin last year I started seeing Dr. Raymond. She put me on a new medication that reduces the quantity and intensity of my migraines, and I am sleeping better at night. She and her staff have been very professional on all of my three visits.

Rude, arrogant, insulting - might even be worth it if she could diagnose, but she can't.
