Dr. Andreea Coca, MD, MD

My rheumatologist left the city for a better position so I went to Dr. Coca in the same practice. It had taken my dr.and several other Drs. working together over 6 years to diagnose me and come up with a treatment plan. When i went for an exam with Dr. Coca, the first thing she stated was that I did not have Sjogrens. Her reasoning was that there were no antibodies in any of my blood work. She kept looking through the computer and kept repeating, "no antibodies". I knew when I went in there I had no antibodies and I also knew why. She totally dismissed all the testing, surgeries and the work the other Drs. done. She knew better without even bothering to ask how I felt that day. She never inquired about my condition. All that mattered to her was to tell me I didn't have Sjogren's. To me, that was a degrading slam to all my other doctors.

Disinterested, dismissive

Dr. Coca did not review available clinical data, was dismissive of reported symptoms and problematic lab values, and viewed things in a siloed manner. She immediately dismissed co-occurring symptoms as unrelated and irrelevant. She behaved in a condescending and dismissive manner.

I was referred to the rheumatology Dept. In Rochester by another Dr. who thought I may have a problem. Dr. Coca was very rude and abrupt and I felt that she felt she was wasting her time even talking to me. Horrible "bedside manner". Canceled my follow up appointment. Will seek help elsewhere.

I was referred to her by another doctor. She had results in hand and medical files which included a probable diagnosis. She looks at me like Bambi in the headlights and ask “ and what are you here for?”

Worst experience with a physician, ever. Once she made up her mind of a diagnosis (which was ridiculous), she had no interest in me whatsoever. I have suffered with autoimmune disease for two decades and have been very ill. Not one care, no attempt whatsoever to be helpful. I waited several weeks to see her and drove 2 hours each way for my appointment. What a waste of time. I should be charging her for the waste of my time.

I've been sick for 2 years. They can't figure out what's wrong with me. Dr Coca wasn't interested in even trying. To top it off, I called the office in advance to ask them how much this consult would cost me. I was told $300. Since I have I high deductible, that's important information. Next time I'll get it in writing. They charged me $615 for 10 minutes!!! When I reminded them that they had told me it would be $300, they said that there was nothing they could do about it. Boloney.

She needs to work on her bedside manner...She has an obvious disconnect with her patients....
