How can anyone stand this guy! He puts down every doctor thinks he knows better. I’m finding another doctor

I’ve known Dr. Candelore for several decades. His treatments have always been appropriate. He has not been rude or unkind to me. I suspect that several of the unkind comments about him and his conduct were written by his second wife, who to my knowledge has been doing all she can to ruin his career and reputation. I do not have faith in the accuracy of the accusations.

I work in billing and insurance, and I spoke to him directly on the phone, (because evidently the office staff have no idea what to do when asked a simple insurance question.) Not only was he rude, short, and unwilling to do what was needed for a patient's insurance, he also brought me to tears with how hostile his tone was over the phone. I never, ever, take things personally in my job, but I am very certain that a doctor should never speak to anyone in that manner, especially to someone who is just trying to help one of his patients receive great specialty care.

Convicted in 2018 York and Cumberland County courts of domestic violence and violation of protective order.

Can appear “humble” one minute and a narcissist the next. Patients who have been mistreated can call the Maine Osteopathic Board. This man assaulted his 2nd wife, injured her, and was ordered to stay away from her by the court. He was stumbling drunk and violated the Protective Order by harassing her in a public place witnessed by many. He defies the court order to pay her uninsured medical bills. This is a doctor who took an oath to do no harm?? Where is his conscience?

He has been my doctor since he opened his practice. He goes out of his way to hep. He is a warm, caring person. He has helped me get my diabetes under control and many other things. He was wonderful to my children also.

He really cares about you as a person and is up to date on all Medical Issues !! You could Never find anyone better !!!

The most arrogant doctor I've ever seen, guess that's why it's easy to get an appointment, he has no patience

Andy has treated our family for 43 years. He is now seeing a 4th generation. He is loyal, listens intently to what you have to say and trusts that you know your own body. He still does house calls for a certain few. I never worry about not being able to see him because he makes sure to fit us in. He has always followed up with us with issues by calling us back. Over the years, he has made a point of calling just to check on a situation. He is the finest kind of a family doctor - his heart is in his family practice. Having worked for many different kinds of doctors over the last 45 years and also within the hospital and nursing homes, as well as doctors' offices, my judgement is accurate. We don't know what we will do when he decides to retire. We will never see a family physician such as he has been, again, we know. They just don't exist. He saved my life more than once, literally.
