Dr. Andrew Patrick Mahoney, MD

The good- got an initial appointment within a few days of trying. The bad- his insulting and disrespectful demeanor. Told me that I did have some arthritis, bone spurs and loss of cartilage, but he wouldn't treat me unless I was "waking up in the night screaming from the pain". He went on a narrative about how the success rate was poor if a smoker (I'm not). Also he said he doesn't want to work on patients already taking pain meds. After insulting me he realized maybe he'd gone too far and told me in a smarmy tone that he is always there for me, even though he just got through telling me he wasn't. Overall, I found him to be an arrogant jerk. I have been diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis, have had two hip replacements already, but won't be going there for my 2 shoulder surgeries or 2 knee replacements.

Dr Mahoney and his assistant were very informative and have led me to deciding to proceed with surgery.

I have seen Dr. Mahoney several times, and each visit has successfully eliminated my pain. He listens and explains what's happening. His sunny disposition is a bonus. Appointments can be made within a reasonable length of time.

Dr Mahoney was great, explained all options gave his recommendation with pressure to chose any particular options. The whole staff was friendly and caring. I already recommend him to a friend who has knee problems.

The office was very professional. Dr. Mahoney zeroed in on the issues I was having with my shoulder, and I would highly recommend him.

I completely trust Dr. Mahoney and have highly recommended him to my family and friends. Tucson Orthopedic staff has, every time been excellent!
