Dr. Andrew Mark Malany, MD

I have been going to Dr. Malany for over 18 years and have had excellent experiences the entire time. He is willing to listen to you and not ignore your concerns. I would fully recommend him!!

I was admitted to the hospital with Dr. Hay for an ovairian cyst rupture. I had a follow up appointment the following week with Dr. Malany because Dr. Hay was out of the office. When walking into the office there was a notice posted on the door welcoming Dr. Malany to the practice the previous week. After checking in and filling out all new patient paperwork, I was taken back to room. There I told the assistant that I had been nauseous all day, she took my vitals and noticed my blood pressure was quite low and even took my blood pressure on the other arm. She asked if I was a new patient and why I was in. She had no idea I was there for a follow up appointment. After she left I waited for 45 minutes for Dr. Malany. I told him I had been nauseous all morning and my blood pressure was low. He dismissed this entirely. He then read the results of my sonogram from the hospital to me, which Dr. Hay had done when I was in the hospital. He then told me to take it easy and I would have more… scans in a few weeks. At that point I was upset and asked if I could follow up with my own OBGYN and he said no because I had been admitted by Dr. Hay and they wanted to keep up with my situation. When I told him who my regular doctor was he relied, “Oh she is just a family doctor that delivers babies anyway.” As soon as I left the office I called and requested he be removed from my file as any care provider. I will gladly work with Dr. Hay but refuse to ever see Dr. Malany again!

I had an appointment with Dr. Malaney. When I showed up, his staff checked me in and let me sit there for half an hour before "remembering" he wasn't in the office that day. So I rescheduled. When I came back, I did see the doctor. He was cold and rude and treated me like I was stupid when I asked him questions. I didn't feel comfortable with him, was made to feel guilty for requesting birth control even though I was almost 30. The final straw was I needed a follow up appointment. When I arrived, once again he wasn't working that day. I understand things come up but his staff failed to call me on two separate occasions and didn't seem to care that I was irritated to have wasted my time.

I had very heavy periods, so I went to see Dr. Malany. He prescribed birth control pills, what made my periods 100 times worse. I was taking those pills all summer, hoping it will make me feel better. It seem he only cared about charging the max for his consultation, did not care about me at all, never followed up. He probably would charge me another $500 for the next visit! Very disappointed and have no one to tell.

He is an amazing doctor who didn't assume I knew nothing about pregnancy. He let me ask questions and took the time to explain. He handled my delivery amazingly. I would recommend him to anyone. I personally don't like doctors that chat your ear off and I didn't get that with Malany. He was precise but still personable. I wish I could find a general practitioner that was as caring. In addition he had a calming effect. I instantly felt at ease when he was in the room. The man seems to truly love delivering babies. Which is great a lot of doctors have gotten to a point where it's just a job not a passion.

Dr. Malany is a great Doctor! He answers all my questions and gives me his undivided attention. I think he's very personable. All the staff at the Helena office are very nice and have always treated me with respect. The conversation is always pleasant and we have some laughs too. I would recommend going to see Dr. Malany to everyone!

Went in for checkup and to find out about my abnormal bleeding. Looks like if you are not a pregnant woman or the one with cancer he will not even give u a pelvic exam. He was looking into my ultrasound result with looking at me, advised me to use condoms - "it might fix the problem". Bleeding and using condoms? Great advice! Ended up going to different doctor, now I know I have a cyst, will never recommend Andrew Malany to anyone I know!
