Excellent doctor!!!

I had a knee replacement with Dr. Martin and now I am able to go through my day and exercise again without pain. Dr. Martin has an excellent staff that is very polite and helpful!

I received excellent care from Dr. Martin and his dedicated staff. I had a knee replacement and I am now living a life free of joint pain. I have recommended his office to my family members and friends and they too have had great outcomes.

I had a terrible shoulder break, in fact broken in 3 places. I had to have two operations with the assurance from Dr Martin that my arm would be functional. Not so Dr. I have limited movement and will never be of much use., not even with 4 months of therepy. He should have known as it was obvious to a new therepist the first time they saw me . Dr Martin showed concern and kept me hopeful until it became painfully clear to me I would be fixed, And I did so llike him and trusted him.

I have only a handful of reviews. All of them are either 1 star or 4... Very rarely in between. Either my experience was so great or terrible that I was motivated to voice my opinion for the world to appreciate or use as fair warning. In the case of this office, my experience was worth the effort of writing it here. It should be noted that I am not super fond of doctor's visits. I don't like needles, tongue depressors, x-rays or anything of the sort. And visiting a surgeon made me focus on the thought of scalpel cutting into me... Saying I was apprehensive about my visit is an understatement. But I have been having more and more pain in my knee when I am active and I was sent to this office by our family practitioner. A family practitioner who incidentally I won't be writing a review for, "meh" doesn't merit the effort. Ultimately I couldn't be active, or on some mornings, I couldn't even walk up and down the stairs at home, without severe pain in my right knee. So off to… the orthopedic surgeon I had to go... For at least a consult. I arrived at the office and I don't know if the staff could sense my trepidation (fear) but they were extremely comforting and personable. After taking my name, I was addressed warmly by my preferred nick name and spoken to eye to eye. So often at a doctor's office, am I coldly spoken to as Mr Lim from behind a chart or file. The staff at this office was engaged and I didn't feel as if I were a chore. My wait was only a few minutes from my designated appointment and I was off to be inspected. I was then greeted by more staff in the back of the office so we could discuss my ailments and take some x-rays. The demeanor of the employees was consistent with that of the front desk. Everyone was sincerely pleasant and personable. I don't think I could have said that about any other physician's office that I have visited in my 40 years. After jumping through the necessary assessment hoops, I met with the doctor. I see why the staff are as accommodating as they are. I think it trickles down from the doctor himself. Dr Martin was very very easy to talk to and I was explained my condition without ever being made to feel like in idiot or ignorant. And further, my apprehension was understood and consoled as opposed to be dismissed as naivety. After inspecting my x-rays and having interviewed me, the diagnosis was that of a torn meniscus and that there was a procedure that could be performed arthroscopically (yay spell check) and that major invasive surgery would not be needed to correct the issue. Basically I wasn't be opened up or put under general anesthesia. I could have it done in an afternoon and my rehab we be such that I wouldn't be out of commission for too long. I can easily say the doctor answered all of my questions thoroughly and so well in fact, that I am able to regurgitate his explanations sloppily here. Living in Las Vegas, everyone in this town "knows a guy." So I met with Dr Martin first and then two other orthopedic surgeons that were recommended to me by colleagues and friends. Just to get second opinions. Of the others I met, I wasn't even close to as pleased about my experience than I was at Dr Martin's office. Another doctor even tried to charge me another co-pay for my visit because my initial stop in was at the end of the day and I had come back the very next morning to finish the consult. I need to figure out a few scheduling logistics and such, but I will be getting my issue taken care of. And based solely on how I was treated as a patient, I will going to ASM Orthopedics.

DR. MARTIN IS THE BEST ORTHOPAEDIC DOCTOR IN LAS VEGAS. I HAVE NEVER TRUSTED ANYBODY TO PERFORM SURGERY TO MYSELF AS I HAVE TRUSTED HIM.

This is a truly HONEST doctor. He does not perform unneeded surgeries. He has integrity, warmth, knowledge and most of all...he can be trusted to do what is right for me instead of lining his pockets. I went to him for a second opinion on rotater cuff surgery. He looked at the MRI and X-rays and said I did not need it. My former surgeon said I did. My former surgeon had a very expensive office and many employees to pay, whereas Dr. Martin has a nice but not gawky, over the top type of Vegas office. He can be TRUSTED. He is HONEST. A rare quality in this world, and especially in Vegas.

Dr. Martin is awesome. He shows care for his patients, he listens carefully, he answers ALL questions in terms that anyone can understand, he explains what is happening and options available to you. He is an excellent surgeon and a Dr. with great bedside manner. His staff is awesome and very caring. I would recommend this man with no hesitation.
