Had a great visit. Dr Metzger listened to my concerns and prolonged issues with back and leg pain. He went over both of my x-rays and MRI and provided me with an understandable explanation of what he believed to be the cause. Dr Metzger thoroughly explained what I could expect for outcome from the procedure as well as what pain or discomfort I could still experience. I am very pleased with his explanation and understand that my major issue should be resolved and improve my current quality of life.

I called to make an appt, was told they need an MRI and paperwork filled out, then they would call to let me know if I am a surgical candidate. Months later I never heard back, so went by their office. The receptionist had the wrong phone number (it was right on all my paperwork, so she put it in wrong in her computer). She made a very bad impression - obese, and eating an ice cream cone, yet too lazy to look up the correct phone number and call me back. Now she tells me they also need regular x-rays and a specialized CT scan (I have a CT scan, but it isn't the kind they want). Dr. Metzger was referred to me, but I don't know what he's like since I can't get past this dumb receptionist.

I had been dealing with back pain from spinal stenosis for a long time, since 2009. I had tried everything I could to alleviate the pain, including acupuncture, therapy, RFA and steroid injections. After I started experiencing numbness and "pins and needles" in my legs, I went to see Dr. Metzger. He was very nice and explained everything concisely. He was very conservative and wanted to make sure I really wanted to have the surgery. So glad I did. it was outpatient surgery and did everything the hospital/surgeon told me to do. No more pain. Very, very satisfied and happy with the outcome.
