Dr. Packer did my retinal tear surgery a couple of years ago. Regular follow ups have shown that the surgery repaired all of the tears completely. He explained everything all along the way, and is a kind, decent person.

Dr. Packer had been taking care of my retina for 13 years. Although he is very busy and wait times are often long, he always take as much time as needed with me. I would recommend him to anyone in need of a retina specialist.

My husband has been under the care of Dr. Packer for about 3 years. Dr. Packer is thorough in his care; advising on the next step, never pushing. After a considerable amount of time and treatment, my husband has 20/25 vision in both eyes. We are very happy with the results.

I had a detached retina. DR Packer saw me on short notice, quickly scheduled the surgery and my vision in that eye is now 20/25 with glasses (better than before the surgery). His office visits are about two hours, but well worth the wait for excellent eye care. He also takes care of my 102 year old Aunt who gets injections in her eyes and she always has nice things to say about him because he comes across as caring and warm.

Had retinal surgery by Dr. Packer 8 years ago to repair hole in center of retina, causing a loss of my central vision. Was apprehensive about being "awake" during surgery but did what .Dr. Packer felt was best. Wasn't aware of anything during procedure! Recovery required laying on my stomach 23 hrs. a day, head up only for meals, bathroom trips, and for all those eyedrops! Used straws to drink, kept room darkened, had a board in bed to keep me from rolling over during sleep. Talking books were great! There w as very little post op discomfort. I think I took pain med. one or two time s. On 8th day healing allowed me resume normal activity except for lifting or exertion. I thank Dr. Packer for saving my eyesight.

Waited 2 1/2 hours to see Dr. Packer and this isn’t the first time I’ve had a long wait. So frustrating. Office staff just laughs it off as it’s a usual occurrence!

In 2006, Dr. Packer performed a delicate surgery on my left eye to repair a macular hole which caused the absence of usable vision in that eye. Careful post surgical monitoring and long term follow-up care assured excellent recovery and continuing eye health and functioning over time. Today, my left eye has better vision that my right eye! I am grateful for the gift given to me through this wonderful physician. Thank you, Dr. Packer
