Our Dad was suffering greatly from severe Spinal Stenosis. We met with Dr. White who was highly recommended to us. From the moment we started the consultation, we knew my Dad would be in great care. Dr. White was very professional and it was obvious that he knew my Dad's medical history and with his vast expertise had a plan to help him! Day of surgery ~ My brother and I were informed each step of the way pertaining to the sequence of events that would happen until my Dad entered his recovery room. Weeks and months have flown by and my Dad has done everything Dr. White has asked of him (Attending follow up appointments, walking, walking, walking and the Physical Therapy and exercises recommended by Dr. White.) My Dad is now back to walking, driving and moving about. (Prior to this surgery, our Dad could not walk more than a couple minutes or less before he had to sit down due to dire and extreme back pain). We are extremely thankful for all the hard work, education and training that… Dr. White went through to become a Surgeon. Because of this, he made a huge difference in my Dad's life. We are forever grateful and thankful that Dr. White is my Dad's Surgeon!

I was treated by Dr White for spinal stenosis surgery at BIDMC . Complicating the procedure were other serious medical conditions. The results were OUTSTANDING ,and I was up and walking within a few days. I have now healed completely,where prior to surgery, I was unable to walk. Words cannot adequately describe how much Dr White changed my condition. I would recommend him to anyone having spinal issues.

I first met Dr Andrew White(Orthopedic Surgeon )for a consultation on a lower back issue that I was experiencing. After meeting with Dr White and his staff,I felt very comfortable and assured that I would be well taken care off,should I decide to go forward with an operation. Dr White was patient and honest in explaining to me the procedure and what I should expect prior, during and after the surgery. I am happy to say that I did go forward with the procedure and four months later my back is feeling great ,and I am in much better shape than before the surgery. Dr white was excellent in my treatment and care prior,during and after the surgery. I would strongly recommend him and his staff to anyone who is having back issues Or who might have questions or worry about a back operation.

Andrew White, MD is my spine doctor, When I went to see him I had been told by another doctor nothing could be done for me. My L3 was herniated and L4 broken off L3, along with other issues involving L4 and L5. I was unable to stand or walk straight, my world of activities was next to none. After consulting with Doctor White he told me, he could fix my back, so I could walk again. I would give Doctor White an A++ for the work he has done on my back, I am walking and standing straight I have followed all of his directions after surgery and today I stand tall, and I am walking straight for the first time in a very long time, using common sense other activities will start to happen for me as well since it is only four months from my surgery. I can't say enough positive things about Doctor White he deserves all the credit in the world for the work he does. God works thru his hands, mind and the team he has to create miracles.

I was referred to Dr. White by my orthopedic doctor after experiencing severe sciatica. He reviewed my MRI and CT scan and recommended a spinal fusion. He explained the whole procedure very clearly. His office did all the scheduling promptly and accurately. I had my surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess in Boston. The surgical team were wonderful. I would highly recommend Dr. Andrew White. I have fully recovered with no pain.

I can’t recommend Dr. White highly enough. I had a lumbar spine riddled with degenerative changes and damaged disks, complicated by the presence of a large sacral cyst no one wanted to go near. I had two previous surgical consults and neither doctor wanted to risk puncturing the cyst in an attempt to relieve the constant pain down my legs and in my lower back. Pain had become debilitating. I was using a rollator and cane, and trying to reconcile myself to a future in a wheelchair. Dr. White was willing to think creatively about how to perform surgery that avoided the big risks and would relieve my pain. My surgery was 10 months ago. I am 95% pain free. I can and do walk for miles. I do yoga. I can lift my own groceries, do my own chores, put on my own clothes – all things I couldn’t do before without help. Dr. White treated me with respect and compassion all the way down the line, and I am deeply grateful to him.

I put myself in Dr. White’s hands for a minimally invasive PLIF surgery @L5-S1. The recovery lasted weeks rather than months and the only complications post-op were due to me feeling so great I resumed intense exercise too early. When I compare my experience with others who had the same fusion at the same location, I think I was in the hands of the best surgeon I could have hoped for. I resumed swimming and biking within 3 wks and biked 133 miles of B2VT 3 months later. Fingers crossed!

Dr. White, has gone above and beyond, fixing my back after I was hurt at my job. I was able to move and walk around pain free after only one month of having my spinal fusion. There are no words to express how grateful I am to Dr. White and his team. His assistant Mrs. Valerie Martinez is the nicest person I've ever met. If you are experiencing sciatica back pain, or if the pain is going down your leg, you should contact Dr. White's office in Boston ASAP. There is no need to be miserable while you could be walking around pain free.

I started seeing Dr. White a little over a year ago when I had some back pain. Dr. White did my surgery a little less than a year ago and I am happy to say that I am pain free! It was the best decision that I made. Dr. White is professional and courteous as is his assistant Valerie. I am so thankful to him every day because he changed my life. I had back pain all the time and now it is completely gone!!!
