Dr. Angela Sellers Gerguis, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Angie's for 8 years. I have been in Statesboro for 9 years. The first doctor my family had moved to a town that was to far for us to get to a d make it on time for each appointment,as a matter of fact she was the one who recommended Dr. Angie to me. The very first exam was very thorough & she is the perfect Doctor to keep all my information in the same place. I am a cancer survivor and I have many other medical problems that are getting worse as I get older. The doctor has my information and she recently became part of Applecare. No matter where I have seen her I'm always at home.

My husband and I have gone to Drs. John and Angie Gerguis since they came to Statesboro, first at FHC, then in their own practice to this day. We have stuck with them through thick and thin, through every trial their office has had to endure. Yet, with all the changes, they have stayed the course and persevered. During all that time, every time we have needed to see them, they or their PA have been there for us. They have been kind and courteous, very professional, very caring, and go the extra mile when necessary for us. We couldn't have asked for better doctors. Once again, things are changing for them and we hope for the better for them. A patient/doctor relationship is a partnership, a trust between the patient and doctor. Sometimes, there are emergencies in the doctor's office or unforeseen circumstances that occur with patients that cause other patients to have to wait. Doctor's get sick, too, and have to take time off. The doctor's do the best they can. I think the… longest we have ever had to wait is 30 minutes past the appointment time, but that was when another patient was extremely ill and needed more attention than was expected. A doctor's office is not Jiffy Lube, you can't just whip in and out. People's lives are at stake, and Dr. John and Dr. Angie know that very well. I have been at other doctor's offices here in town with friends who had to wait over an hour. Especially right now with the flu epidemic going on, people are just going to have to be patient. Doctor's can't be two places at the same time. Again, you won't get better doctors than Dr. John Gerguis and Dr. Angie Gerguis, whether at their own office or with Dr. Angie at Applecare.

Adjectives describing this wonderful facility would stretch to the moon and back. These people are so genuine and caring. Who cares if you have to wait a little longer for Dr. Angie? I know she is providing the person ahead of me with the same care I know is coming to me. I hate a doctor who is so full of who they are; they forget or just don't care how their presence and demeanor belittles the patient. My doctor is a gift from God; the entire facility is a monument of what many other doctor's offices should aspire to be. We are so very fortunate to have such caring, and I must emphasize GENUINELY CARING people.

Been going to Dr. Angie for a long time. Getting a call from someone after leaving a message is very difficult, if not impossible, but that is not Dr. Angie's fault. I have a great deal of respect for her and Dr. John. They listen to you and are great at explaining things. Great Dr's . Can't imagine going to anyone else!

I visited you again after your office moved across to the Orthopediac area but I willnot be back. My time is improtant too and you were over 60 min. late and the office never got back with me on my lab results

late for apointment by over an hour no one even checked on me will not come back

Dr. Gerguis has been my doctor for five years. When I need her, she is there. She always asks questions about the condition I am seeing her for, and she listens carefully at the answers. She is very good at diagnosing and finding health problems before they become a major issue.Statesboro, Georgia, is very fortunate to have such a fine doctor who is so dedicated to the people in this area. She became a doctor because she cares deeply for others and wants to help them.

I have seen Dr. John and Dr. Angie (and Jennifer Wolfe, their PA) on countless occasions and actually got to know them when they first came to Statesboro. My respect for them has never wavered. They are caring and attentive physicians always with the patient in mind. I have been with them in social situations and on several occasions witnessed them drop what they were doing....to tend to patients in a timely manner. The office staff is always courteous and helpful. I highly recommend this great team of doctors!

Angie has been my family physician since she came to Statesboro. She is tremendously compassionate, very thorough and amazingly gifted and talented. It is wonderful to have a doctor that you can feel so comfortable with. She is "one of us." Just alot smarter and talented than most of us. I highly highly reccomend her.

So sad...your letter re: me wasting your time, etc., & holding up other patients. Need I remind you of the countless HOURS (yes, HOURS) that I waited on YOU b/c you didn't get to work on time? At least once your husband called you saying that your patient was leaving. I'd always get the earliest appt. you had & you were late every single time. I thought so highly of you, but you opened my eyes for sure. Just remember that everyone needs someone to listen to them; I listened to your problems & encouraged you quite often. I do wish you well always.
