Dr. Angela Lynette Jones, DO

I have been using the Simmonds and Simmonds group for years. I became pregnant and, as usual, they wanted me to run through all the doctors, since you never know who'll be on when you go into labour. I'd been seeing Helmbrecht. Because Dr. Jones didn't practice in Gaithersburg, I never saw her for a prenatal visit. She was the doctor in the hospital when I delivered. My experience with her was fine. She was pleasant, practical, and competent. As they do, I had all my follow-up appointments with her and do not have a complaint. It seems she may be leaving the practice, so I'm trying to find out if she'll still be available, as I'm expecting again.

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Jones because I was unable to get one with my usual doctor. I was having my IUD removed and she barely spoke to me the entire visit. When she finished, she got up to leave the room and mentioned that I was now without birth control (obvious). I told her that I needed something and instead of providing me with options, she just asked what I wanted. I told her I'd used the NuvaRing before and asked her what her opinion was. She didn't have one and didn't volunteer any information or alternatives. In fact, she didn't even let me know how soon I'd be protected once I started using it. My visit with her lasted a total of 5 minutes. I would never recommend seeing this doctor and cannot imagine how she treats her expecting patients.
