I have had this doctor through military medical for probably over 8 years... I tried to change my primary care doctor four times and although they claim one can do so, it never did work until recently. I have liked Every Other doctor I have ever had at military medical so it's not like I'm not willing to work with a doctor, but this one, on her best days seems to at least mildly dislike her patients and at other times seems openly hostile. The only reason I stuck it out with her was I thought it shouldn't matter if we had any decent rapport, but finally realized her attitude was actually impacting my medical care - I would endure almost any level of discomfort rather than go in to see her and share my medical issue with someone so cold. I take issue with the description of patient reviews as not reflecting if a doctor is any good, but rather only the softer statistics of bedside manner and communication - if a doctor doesn't care she isn't going to be doing her best for you even if she… could, if she is so unpleasant you aren't going to seek medical care in a timely enough fashion, you've already been impacted, and how much does it matter how much a doctor might know if they can't be bothered to tell you and ensure you understand diagnoses, self care and prognosis? This is one of those doctors where one wonders why she even went into medical school in the first place...
