Dr. Anh Tuan Duong, MD

Have been experiencing stomach cramps, gas, irregularity. Duong ordered ultrasound, endoscopy, colonoscopy, stool tests. Over $8000 in billings. Still no diagnosis. Office staff is unfriendly and often does not answer phone. You are asked to leave a vm. More than 24 hours for a return call.

I have serious digestive problems , unbearable abdominal pains ..ended up in ER at least 8 times was referred to him by my primary Dr. and he is so impersonal , callous human, who did not pay any attention to my serious health issue i came to see him for and waited for hours in the waiting room. He only takes patients on Tuesdays ones a month. Another no, no. The colonoscopy I had by him also was my worst experience.. from nurses to front office to anesthesiologist who overdosed me that I did not wake up until the next day at 11:30 AM after I collapsed on top of my bed with my close and shoes on after the driver brought me home around 4 : 00 PM the day of colonoscopy. Never again will I see this Dr. and there are several very similar incompetent MD in this desert.

He was great. He explained everything, & answered my questions. I feel so much better.

I have been suffering for months, have been admitted into the hospital on several occasions, have had multiple doctor visits (all my personal care providers), countless blood samples and tests through out, Dr. Duong is the only one who found my underlying problem. C-Diff. It has somehow been over looked for nearly 3 months or more. He is not my doctor. I can not comment on his bedside manner as mentioned in other reviews but I must say that this doctor knows his stuff.

Dr. Duong is such uncaring, impersonal doctor. I will certainly go to another doctor for any future problems. The center where he performed the colonoscopy was even worse...you were a number...people being led in and out. The whole experience was degrading.

I was in the hospital and he came into see me referring to my problem; he was as described by these other reviews, very unfriendly, very curt, and in fact I would say rude and uncaring. For the test he suggested, I went to Dr. Jorge Guterriz in Palm Springs who has an accent and is all business, but he took the best intake I have ever had and did a good job for me.

I hate to say this, but this man has absolutely NO bedside manner or even personality at all. I had to ask all the questions to which he answered as briefly as possible. Never shook my hand when meeting me nor showed an ounce of interest in me. I asked to be referred to another GI dr. in the same practice, but once you've chosen a doctor in their office, their policy is you're stuck with him. I had chosen him based on his education and qualifications after researching online. He may know his stuff, but he doesn't know how to communicate--AT ALL!

I believe Dr. Duong has a cash register for a heart. He appears to me to be totally devoid of compassion.I went to him complaining of GERD. He ordered an ultra sound of my stomach. He said I had to have my heart tested before the endoscopy. The cardiac stress test was very uncomfortable. I think performing the endoscopy probably didn't take longer than 10min. He did 4 biopsies, which were negative. I heard this from his office girl. It seems like that's the end of it. However, I still have GERD.

When you have a test scheduled it's because you're having problems...you shouldnt have to wait 30 days to find out how to correct them!
