Dr. Ann Margaret Sandin, MD

smart doctor, not great communicator

I have been a patient of Dr. Sandin for 3-4 years now and she is a joy. She allowed me into her practice on the referral of my pulmonologist and I am so lucky to be there. She is one of those doctors who calmly walks into the room, sits down like she has no where else to be, looks you in the eye and begins listening to your story. Her warmth, keen questions, insights, and willingness to address any issue is amazing. She also has a remarkable circle of specialists she works with her are equally caring and profession. I never leave her office without learning something new about the research behind my treatment, including recent changes in the evidence. She seems very up to date on latest practices and the science behind them. When we change my medications or treatment, she handwrites the instructions to be sure I understand exactly what is next, what to expect and when to contact her. I never leave the office without a clear plan and back up plan. All of the staff in the… practice are kind and helpful. I have never been dismissed, or had even one negative experience with anyone there. They are kind and patient with every step. I greatly appreciate having such an expert give me great care as my body ages and changes.

If there is a wait time with Dr. Sandin it is because she spends the necessary time with her patience. At least that was my experience. I'd rather wait extra time knowing that when it's my turn she will be present and give me the time necessary. On time and not present or thorough isn't my idea of a great doctors appointment.
