Dr. Anna Magda Gonzales, MD

I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Anna Gonzalez and her entire team! I was incredibly nervous about having both a colonoscopy and an endoscopy, but from the moment I walked into the office, everyone made me feel completely at ease. Dr. Anna Gonzalez is compassionate, patient, and truly exceptional. She took the time to answer my questions and made me feel confident that I was in the best hands. My nurse, Carmen, was so kind and reassuring, and Stephanie, my anesthesiologist, was absolutely amazing. The three of them work together so seamlessly that I honestly felt like I was surrounded by family. And since family means everything to me, that says a lot. From the friendly front desk staff to every person I interacted with, the entire office was welcoming, professional, and genuinely caring. My first experience with these procedures couldn't have been better, and I'm so grateful it was with this team. If you're looking for a gastroenterologist, Dr. Anna Gonzalez is the one… to see. And if you're lucky enough to have Carmen and Stephanie as part of your care team, you're in the very best hands. People are truly missing out if they don't choose this office. Thank you all for making what I thought would be a scary experience one of the best healthcare experiences I've ever had!

Very kind and understanding. Doctor she's direct to the point. That's what I like about her. You need a good doctor go see her she's number one in my book.

Arrogant, dismissive and low emotional intelligence. She struggles to process patient concerns and feedback. Issues regulating emotions and being empathetic. Hostile response to basic medical questions. I’ve been seeing Dr. Gonzalez for a year with the same issue without resolution. Today I asked the side effects of a medicine and her response was to dismiss my concern and medical gaslight me saying “so you prefer to continue with (your illness)” I then asked her to please not talk to me that way and that I had basic concerns to discuss. Her response was to escalate and tell me I should see a different Dr. if I don’t like her. I was shocked at her indifference and immature response. She was arrogant, bulldozed me, and was emotionless when I tried to express that I am just trying to ask questions and be comfortable that we are exploring all the potential causes of my illness that isn’t improving. This is why people don’t seek medical care and get diagnosed too late.

Went to see Dr Gonzalez for a: : Colonoscopy. I have to say I was very nervous but Dr Gonzalez was excellent. She sat down with me answered all my questions and explained exactly what was going to take place. Went to Memorial Hermann and everything was right on schedule to the minute the doctor staff was excellent and very understanding of my needs since I am in a wheelchair. The procedure took place exactly on the time the doctor scheduled and I was out in 2 1/2 hours. Afterwords the Procedure Dr Gonzalez explained everything that had taken place and what my results were taken as much time as I needed. I cannot say enough about her upbeat friendly personality and the wonderful staff that she has along her side. Would highly recommend her to my friends family and anyone else

have been her patient for over 5 years. She has always taken the time to answer any questions I have asked and was always current on my condition{s}. She has great sense of humor and I have always been treated very well. Follow up from her office re: test results has always been prompt. 5 stars out of 5. Go see her.

Dr. Anna Gonzales has provided excellent care for me for 10 years. She has a very direct style, but has always answered my questions very thoroughly. She always reviews my medical history before proceeding with recommendations. She and her staff have always been very professional. In regard to other comments that have been made in other reviews, I would only say that I appreciate her efficient and thorough style. She doesn't waste her time or yours!

I went to see Dr. Gonzales for the first time about a month ago and can honestly say it was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctor. She was rude and condescending. At the end she told me to watch a video and that she would be right back to answer questions and never came back. Everyone that works at the office is really rude too, especially the lady that does the labs. Overall, horrible experience and wouldn’t go back.

after having had 3 colonoscopies and an endoscopy with dr. gonzales since 2004,my last interaction with her in October was not only surprising, but disappointing..in the past i have accepted having to make an appointment 2 or more months in advance,and then being treated with a flippant attitude,or a few quick pokes on the stomach and being told results of a colonoscopy and a time frame to have another..i had made an appointment in august to see her at the end of October to discuss a colonoscopy, as when I last saw her last she said 5 years for the next one,and i was at that marker..unfortunately right about that same time i had an unexpected bout of colitis(never had it before)and when i called her office to speak with the nurse,i got a very rude call back,akin to what do you want us to do about it,just go to the emergency room..i asked her to please speak with Gonzales and call me back,which she did, and she was equally as rude when I asked where should I go and would she call ahead… to tell them I was coming..she said,no, they dont do that and that I needed to let them know which emergency room or hospital so they could get my records..i was floored first because of the rudeness and second because i was treated so badly when I was feeling ill..i did go to hermann-woodlands emergency room and was there from 1 or 2pm until at least 10pm(after sitting of course in the e r for a long time before a triage) and finally was admitted...no call from dr gonzales, and insult to injury,she does not do hospital rounds,so another doctor from their office came to see me a couple of times.over the 3 day period..i called back after I came home to make an appointment, as I was told to make a hospital follow up with her,and they "squeezed" me in a week after I was released..dr Gonzales acted as if i were bothering her,gave me maybe 5 to 10 minutes of her time,and acted offended when I asked why the nurse was rude and why they did not call the hospital ,and when I tried to get a straight answer about what my problem is or was and what to do,she merely said colitis,and got her assistant in to set up a colonoscopy..i know this is a long story, but its the truth and when you are ill or have been in the hospital,sure you want the truth of the matter and not "fluff'" but you also want compassion,courtesy and somewhat of a bedside manner, even if the doctor is having a busy or bad day!!I have never been treated that way before,and by the way, she would not allow me to ask questions,kept interrupting me when I tried to speak with her , and then told me to find another doctor!! with that attitude and that kind of treatment,i most certainly would not recommend her,as I have done in the past,and I will search for another gastroenterologist...
