Dr. Anne Calkins, MD

I saw Dr. Calkins today for trigger point injections for my shoulder. I told her that on previous occasions trigger point shots did not help me. Her response was that she had never given me any. I also told her that lidocaine in the shots only work for a day or 2. Why put something in your body if it doesn't work? So she did the dry shots in my right side, I said you can't do that side, workmans comp won't cover it , her response, I can put shots anywhere I want, your right shoulder is sore isn't it? yes, but that is not the point. I have never had trigger point shots hurt as bad as these did.When she got to the left side, the side she was suppose to do, she did one shot and the pain went from my head and down to my elbow. I told her I did not want anymore shots, please stop. She and her nurse went out the door before I could get turned around. I had an instant headache, and could not get my shirt on, because the pain was so bad. Never asked if i was ok or anything just poof… gone... She is the worst doctor i have ever seen. Sorry but the impression of being God like does not work for her

I have struggled with a variety of medical issues and am very thankful to have found Dr. Calkins. She listened to ALL of my concerns and offered ideas that nobody has mentioned in my 30 years of medical drama.

Dr Calkins makes you feel at ease that explains everything in detail that you need to know you get the feeling that she feels what you’re feeling and she personally makes you feel she has empathy for what you are dealing with we are very lucky to have her in the area strongly suggest

She always listened to my concerns n helped me n encouraged me to overcome my daily struggles with pain! I love her ??

After a failed spinal surgery and continued pain, I was referred to Dr. Calkins. She took the time to listen to me. She offered me solutions and advocated for my issues to be investigated further. I felt validated like someone actually got it. an incredible asset. I am so pleased to be under her care. She follows through and make you feel a priority.

My first appointment, Dr. Calkins spent approximately 5 minutes with me. I gave my medical history to a new resident doctor. My second visit was with the nurse - never saw the doctor. My third visit, Dr. Calkins stepped into the room and said she couldn't treat me because I don't have insurance. I never had insurance since I started seeing her so what changed? Don't waste your time and money with this doctor.

This Dr is the worst, bedside manners are rude, she doesn't listen,never read my file,gave me medicine I shouldn't have taken but if she read my file would of known that put me in the ICU for 3 days with a rate in the low 20s.... Made 2 appointments with her and she wouldn't see me they scheduled me with a Suboxone specialist,how can I talk to my Dr when you won't see me....I can't stand her rude funky self...

This dr was not only unprofessional and rude she made me wait about 45 minutes after my appointment time and then when I got a second opinion she was incorrect about my diagnosis, she apparently has a bad reputation among Drs for her past unprofessionalism and inappropriate relationships with married patients, I wish I had known all of this before wasting my time seeing her
