Dr. Desjardins is obviously brilliant and devoted to the arduous cancer research that is saving lives. She is also a good listener who always makes me feel I am in the best of hands!

I have been seeing Dr. Desjardins for almost one year. I am grateful for all she has done for me, and she is one of my champions at the Duke Cancer Center. I truly believe that I am alive today because of her efforts, and the efforts of all the staff at Duke.

Dr. DesJardins and Duke Neuro-Oncology has been incredibly disappointing. They may treat your tumor, but quality of life does not appear to be a consideration. I am not sure if appointments are just so short (double books clinics; allocates little time after huge (hours) waits) that they don't even recognize when a patient is deteriorating or, if the MRIs are clean, this allows them to put a check mark on their books for a job well done. You are not allowed to switch doctors within Duke and, upon deciding to pursue care at another institution, I received an accusatory and unpleasant call from the head of the department.

Dr Desjardins and her team (especially nurse Rosemary) at Duke are fantastic. She treats her patients with compassionate care and always remains positive while presenting all the facts. She has been treating my moms brain tumor for the last 4 months and I truly believe my mom is in the best care possible. We trust Dr Desjardins 100%!!
