My appt was canceled because his staff found out I had scheduled another intake appointment with his old practice partner, and I was told he doesn’t like these types of patients. Petty and rude front desk staff, didn’t care or understand that people need to have comparisons when evaluating the best PCP for them. Look elsewhere!

My wife and adult son I have been patients for years and are very well pleased with him. He is always friendly and patient but can be very direct if necessary. Never rushes you, takes as much time as you need (which is why he is sometimes behind schedule). Dr. Bernens is very knowledgeable but does not hesitate to refer to a specialist rather than try to be the "Super Doctor " who knows it all. The staff is friendly and helpful. My only real complaint is administrative and not with the doctor or his staff. I wish the office would subscribe to one of the communication services which allows the patient to communicate with the doctor and review test results via computer on line. My oncologist has this service and it is very helpful and efficient .

I have been a patient of Dr. Bernens for 12 years and he is amazing. He and his staff are caring, have compassion, empathy and always makes you feel like an important patient. My dad's his patient as well as my daughter and son-in-law.
