I have been Dr Porter’s patient for a year and a half, on various injuries I sustained while trail running and hiking, which include mensical tears in both knees, labral tears in both left pelvic joints, and a tibial fracture. I am also seeing him for a condition of the left elbow. I am better now and the fracture has healed. I have recommended him to the patients I meet while waiting for my turn at my chiropractor and physiotherapist and want to write my expereince for others seeking an orthopdist. Having previously been at another clinic, I have come to know that not all orthopedic surgeons are equal. Thus, when selecting one you want to go with an orthopedist who takes care to understand and then properly treat a patient’s symptoms which can be difficult for us to describe. While a radiologist viewing the MRIs may provide a descriptive report, it is the orthopedist who knows the patient, his/her symptopms and thus in a position to see the whole picture. To do so he must know it… as qwell or better than the radiologist. I have come to know that reading and interpreting MRIs, CT scans and X rays showing the bones and muscles in interaction is a combined art and science second-nature to Dr Porter, and the ability to relate those to a patient’s injuries and symptoms, thus forming the whole picture. He has no need to rely on radiologist reports. I would highly recommend Dr Porter.

Dr. Porter is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. All of my care workers gasp at how meticulous in perfect his work is and how advanced I am for this stage of recovery. I cannot recommend Dr. Porter enough. I’m so glad I found him you will be to.
