Dr. Anthony Sapienza

Dr. Sapienza has to be the quickest most responsive doctor & the friendliest one I know. I tore my ligament and im still wary on what to do with my wrist, but his honest opinions have been very helpful. I always think doctors are pushing for surgery just to make their next paycheck but not him.

My husband is Dr. Sapienza's patient. He was treated as a patient at NYU Medical Center , at the Hospital for Joint diseases and as a patient in his office at NYU Medical Center. Dr. Sapienza is a talented surgeon. He is soft-spoken , understanding and kind. He always answered all our questions about my husband's treatment, and he explained the surgery that he would perform.

Terrific communicator. Radiates competence. Saw me promptly. Walked me down the hall to his assistant to be fitted with a brace. He did that. Not his assistant! Explained my condition in clear English. Explained the treatment options and their pros and cons - in perfect, understandable English. He is terrific.

I saw Dr. Sapienza a couple of months ago. I won't be seeing him again. Not only was he over an hour late,it was like talking to a telemarketer. He didn't listen to much I had to say,seem puzzled that I was annoyed at his lateness but talked to me like he was reading from a script. And I got steroid shots-which he referred to as "not the funnest thing"(I am not 5 years old so very offensive) from him which didn't work though they have in the past from more interested doctors. There's better out there

I had almost 10 visits with Dr. Sapienza over the course of a year with differing symptoms and diagnoses. He explored all options for treatment with me, and gave me information to help me determine the right course of treatment. He always discussed the positives and drawbacks of each option.

Very happy with Dr. Sapienza. Was able to fit me in the same day I called. Doesn't rush you, listens to what you have to say. Seems to know his stuff.

I feel so lucky that I was able to see Dr. Sapienza. He is amazing: calm, cool, direct. He explained in simple terms my wrist problem & suggested a course of action. I feel totally confident in his care.
