Summary
Dr. Therattil spent his formative years in Brooklyn and New Jersey. He went to Duke University where he studied Neuroscience and developed his interest for medicine. He attended medical school at New York Medical College and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Lenox Hill Hospital (Northwell Health) where he focused his training in Primary Care and was awarded the Lawrence Smith Award for contributions to Underserved Community Medicine. In addition to his passion for medicine, he also enjoys playing tennis, exploring the NYC culinary scene, spending time with family and cheering for the New York Knicks.

Dr. Anthony Therattil was excellent. He took the time to thoroughly review my symptoms and medical history, and I never felt rushed during the visit. What stood out most was his proactive and thoughtful approach—he made appropriately aggressive recommendations to help identify the root cause of my chronic cough, rather than brushing it off or suggesting I simply wait it out. I really appreciated that he didn’t default to the typical “this will take months to resolve” explanation without further investigation. Instead, he showed genuine interest in getting answers and moving things forward. It’s clear he cares about his patients and is committed to finding solutions. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a doctor who listens and takes action.
