Dr. Anthony Tung Yeung, MD

I I was recommended to Dr. Yeung by my pain management doctor.  I have a very complicated history with my back, and as such, I was very apprehensive to go through with another surgery.  And, I live in Michigan and Dr. Yeung is in Phoenix. I was told that Dr Yeung is promoting a non-invasive procedure that could be helpful for me. So, after scheduling an appointment for a consultation, I took my records with me and flew to Phoenix. After looking at my records and evaluating me, Dr. Yeung recommended a nerve block to see if it would alleviate my pain,  He indicated that if it did, he could than perform a surgery to help make my pain go away. So, that same day, I underwent the nerve block. It helped and so her recommended I return in a month for the procedure. He specifically said he could guarantee 100% success. He also indicated that while there were other doctors closer to home in Michigan for me who could perform the procedure, none of them could perform it as well as he could.  So,… one month later, I returned to phoenix and had the surgery.  Two days later, I began experience the most intense pain of my life.  It was a whole new pain that I never experienced before. I called specifically asking to speak to the Doctor and he would never call back. I was only ever allowed to communicate with the PA.  My daughter, who is also a surgeon, also called to speak with him, and he didn’t even have the professional courtesy to call either of us back. We either spoke with his PA, or made an appointment in the office if we wanted to speak to him directly. I finally got a scheduled appointment and he informed me that I had developed a complication that happened 30% of the time after this procedure, the same procedure he told me would be 100% effective. He than proceeded to tell me that it would take 6 months to get better.  So now, Im left with a whole new set of pains, that were way worse than before my procedure and I was told I just had to wait.  When I asked him why he didn’t mention this complication before the surgery, he evaded answering the question.  He did offer me a series of three injections to make the pain go away.  After the second injection, he all of a sudden changed his mind and said I no longer needed the third injection and that I should just go back and see my pain doctor for him to manage the pain, and that I could return to see him in 6 months. Dr Yeung is an extremely arrogant, over confidant surgeon. He guarantees success when he clearly cannot deliver.  And now I am in worse pain than I was before.

Courteous office staff, next day appointment, ample time spent with Dr. Yeung in my preliminary review of MRIs. I saw no indication of anything mentioned in prior negative reviews! That said, Dr Yeung is straight to the point and does not sugar coat his diagnosis.

Awesome Doctor ultimate professional made my symptoms and pain disappear, have and will continue to recommend him.

I have been dealing with back pain for some time now, I was referred to a different doctor, two different doctor's and neither had time for a new patient or room, a friend was over and mentioned DISC, I called, and had appt. the next morning, I was on a very short timeline, I work overseas and had a plane flight the Tues. after the next, I saw Dr. Yeung the next day, his staff, I can not say everything in this sentence of everyone involved, I know one thing Celina at the surgery side, was to do something for me that even right now, I am so great full for, and the Dr. to come out and say hang tight, we'll take care of you today, like I said, I work overseas, and they were able to get me in that day I was asking for paper work, to tell my company it's going to be a bit longer than I wanted, they took care of me that day, I still can't believe it, I have done reviews before, but I was extra excited to do this one, Everyone on the staff was some friendly and helpful,

I was in pain on and off with lower back problems. One day, while I was really struggling with movement, a fellow employee came into my office, noted my pain and referred me to a doctor who had helped him.And that is how I met Dr. Anthony Yeung. He took some X-rays, reported to me what he saw - and it was not good. I had about 6 different things wrong with me, and unfortunately, none of them were repairable. However, he did say that I could have a procedure called a rhizotomy which would alleviate some of the pain. Well, I was sick of living on pain medication and still being in agony even with it, so I agreed to have the procedure.I tell you, Dr. Yeung is nothing less than a genius. He did not contain or alleviate my pain - he ElIMINATED it in total!! I can go out with friends again; I can walk without pain again; I can sit down and stand up with zero pain. My friends can hardly believe the difference in me. It's like Dr. Yeung has given me back my life - and for that I will be… eternally grateful.There is no finer back surgeon anywhere, Simply put, he is the best there is. He may have taught others,and taught them well, but I look at things this way - just as there is no comparison to an original Michelangelo, no comparison to teh voice of a Kiri te Kanawa, so there is no comparison to the surgical skill of Dr. Anthony Yeung. Even though I may have been destined to endure back pain, I am nevertheless grateful to be born during the lifetime of such a gifted surgeon who was able to help me in such a dramatic way. May G-d bless him and his family all the days of their lives.

I recently had a level 2 L3-4 L5-S1 SED wtih Dr Anthony Yeung as my surgeon. In a period of 1.5 years I went from 2 bulging disks to 1 bulging and two herniated disks. The herniation was giving my horrible back spasms, burning in my lower central back , numbness in my left foot and a sharp tearing like pain in my right, side of my right calf. I heard about Dr Yeung from a friend who had the surgery 9 yrs ago and swore by it. I had been dealing with this on again, off again back spasms for the last 10 years and decided to bypass the shots, as many of my friends and family have chosen only to prolong surgery, and go straight to surgery. I did not see it as much or a risk since my future looked like multiple injections, continued degeneration, and worst of all scar tissue and arthritus, all of which I don't prefer to encounter. I did get several opinions and read with great detail Dr. Yeungs website on the recommended procedure. Being a mechanic by trade, it just made sense to me so I did… it. Surgery was performed an about an hour, on Jan 30 and today is Feb 10th. As of now I have taken 2 pain pills. One because I was certain that I was going to have pain once the local wore off, and the other that night because athough I had no pain I was still expecting it. NO pain whatsoever. The only discomfort I have had at all is after the first 2 days of sitting I began to walk twice a day for 10 minutes as prescribed and during the walk my hips ached. That was to be expected due to my body having to readjust to it's "new" posture. As the days went by the hips quit hurting (only during the walk) and all is well. I did also have the first couple of days a slight numbness in my left foot but that has disappeared. I would reccommend Dr. Anthony Yeung and his facility to anyone. I would also like to respond to those who have attacked his "bed side manners". Dr. Anthony is at the top of his profession just read the multiple publications and look at the detail that he has painstakenly provided for our understanding. He is a pioneer and deserving of respect. That being said, I would like you leave you with this thought, " There is a very fine line between arrogance and confidence". Dr Anthony is extremely confident that he can fix you or he will tell you otherwise. The rest in up to you. Be in good health!

My daughter suffered back pain for 18 months.. tried everything injections, accupunture, physical therapy.. Dr Yeung was very up front, imformative performed the YESS procedure and she is a new person.. Her results have been life changing.
