I rarely write a negative review: However, when I called in I was hung up on when I was frustrated when the Dr will not see me and the NP canceled all appointments for next week after two separate injuries, doesn't a doctor have any responsibility to care for his patients anymore? I had a fall, my jaw, and forehead were swollen, black and blue, then 4 days later I twisted my neck to create an excruciating pain. I called and set up an appointment, then I got a call that the NP was out for the week so they wanted to reschedule for 2 weeks more, I already waited 10 days. , Dr. Poto is an outstanding doctor, however, you see him once, then you see an APRN (nurse practitioner) from there forward. I was put off considering I have moderate to several damages in my cervical spine and do not want to live on pain medications, I was looking for alternatives. He seemed like the guy, however, he won't see me, just his Nurse Practitioners, which are under educated and under experienced in… comparison. Why should I be forced to see someone with less experience and education, here is why: Because the visit is billed the exact same way with my insurance whether you see the Dr. or the Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner is paid far less, educated far less, and has less experience but charges the same amount. Florida healthcare has gone to crap! SOMEONE ACTUALLY WROTE ON A REVIEW "complimentary coffee and water in the waiting room", really? That is what makes a doctor's office a good place to go. I am seeking out a D.O. that has time to see me and not push me off to someone under qualified, I am filing a Google Complaint, big deal, but, I am also filing a claim with my insurance carrier (Cigna), The Department of Health. 4052 Bald Cypress Way, Bin C75. Tallahassee, Florida, The Florida Medical Association, 1430 Piedmont Dr E Tallahassee, FL 32308 and the American Medical Association. No Doctor should put off seeing a patient with cervical spine issues dating back 6 years, having had injections, taking minimal medications, not hard narcotics, I don't want that, I wanted alternatives, that's why I went to him, but, I was injured twice and he does not have time to see me. This is, in my opinion, borderline malpractice, at the very least he should have referred me to an urgent care facility, or another doctor. I called my surgeon who referred me to him, they set me up an appointment and asked me to go to an orthopedic urgent care center to have an immediate x-ray, and have the results sent over to their office, if necessary they will see me immediately, thats medical care, this office is not professionally established to care properly for people with serious spinal or orthopedic issues that can be life-changing, even life-threatening and I am going to make sure someone other than Google is aware of it! Unhappy with Dr Poto's Pioneer Pain Management Office here in Port St Lucie, FL.

I have seen different Doctors over the years moving from town to town. But Dr Poto is by far the best Doctor in his field I have ever had. Never had an issue with an epidural injection and he has always given me the best advice for my condition. Highly recommend this great Doctor.

I have been battling severe back pain for 8 years. In that time I went to see three other pain specialists. All of them just threw pain pills my way. I was 34 at that time , and being a medical professional I knew that pain pills were a dead end for me. Two neurosurgeons turned me down for surgery because my back problems were in my thoracic spine and the risks were greater than the reward. I had almost lost hope and a way to make my living. Dr Poto started with giving me epidural injections yet they only lasted a short time for me. He then suggested a neurostimulator from medtronics. I have never been so grateful in my life.The implant gave me 50 - 60 % relief added with a very low dose of medication. I am able to work a full time job and go out and have fun with friends again. How do you thank someone for giving you your life back? Words cannot express my gratitude. If you are in the battle of your life and in chronic pain look no further call Dr Poto he will change your life as… well.

Cut elderly disabled pain patient off of medically nessesary pain med.This to me is a violation of ada act!He took the word of a disgruntled aid worker whom has now been fired herself from agency for lies.She is also now being denied access to her mental health medication because of his phone call to primary care doc..This person can not get out of bed due to debilitating pain and is a mess emotionally as well. Shame shame..A doc takes an oath to do no harm ..He has def violated that oath..This person now criea out for anybody to just take her life

I have seen Doctor Poto multiple times over the past few years. I have had a neck problem and saw him for pain injections and a Coolief procedure. He takes the time to really listen to you, and is very caring and competent. He has the best bedside manner of any doctor I know, combined with knowledgeable expertise. He is the only doctor I trust to give me injections.

I did two trips to hospital for the coolief treatment it did not work at all my knee hurts more now think twice before u do it

I found Dr. Poto to be a great doctor. His manner and his concern for his patients is something not often seen in doctors today. He greets his patients with a honest hello and a "how are you" and hangs on to every word you answer with. In seeing Dr. Poto, I found much more then I expected to find, I found a doctor who really cares about my all around well being.
