Great doctor, Dr. Heddings did surgery on my broken elbow and ankle. Very kind and blunt. You can see the passion he has in his work and explained everything very well. Our community is blessed to have such a caring professional. The best of the best!

He has changed my life. He operated on left hand, following previous surgery ( elsewhere) that was ineffective, non functional, Mal Union.He operated , placed pins, plate and bone graft, and have regained 50% functionality, l am still under his care. I have regained more independence, He is a very compassionate, ethical, and excellent with family. He visited me every day during hospitalization. Dr Heddings was rude and cruel. He treated us with incredulous disrespect , name called , raised his voice and frightened the patient. There is no amount of technical knowledge that he could posses that could justify this inhuman treatment. You cannot make this stuff up. Right out of a horror movie. Stay away from this man

Dr. Heddings performed emergency surgery on my brother's hand to save the nerve and tendons. Later on, while my brother was still in ICU, Dr. Heddings operated on his arm to close a large wound. I have to say he is a great surgeon. After the surgery he came out and talked to our family for a long time and was very compassionate. His nurse, Tonya is also excellent. Very caring and friendly. I would recommend Dr .Heddings to anyone because I believe he saved my brother's arm & hand and he is a very talented surgeon.

I like to think Dr. Heddings saved my arm. After breaking my elbow, I was worried I wouldnâ??t find a doctor able to fix my arm. The type of break I sustained amazed and stumped the ER doctor, X-ray techs and an orthopedic specialist at a different hospital. That was before I saw Dr. Heddings. With my arm all slung up in a temp cast, high on pain meds, and scared out of my mind my arm would be forever jacked, I walked into Dr. Heddings office. He sat down, looked me straight in the eye and told me how it was. He was direct, honest and totally genuine. He answered every question, chased away every fear, and didnâ??t let me leave until his nurses made sure I was as comfortable as possible in my temporary cast and sling. He scheduled my surgery two days later and visited me twice afterwards in recovery. A year later, me and my three plates and about a dozen screws couldnâ??t be happier or healthier. Dr. Heddings is, hands down (or up, woohoo!), the nicest and most involved… doctor to ever care for me. If you live anywhere near the Kansas City area and youâ??re in the market for an orthopedic surgeon, do yourself (and your bones!) a favor and see Dr. Heddings!

Dr Heddings would not give up on my arm after i came into the er after a motorcyle wreck i was a wreck. he tried 3 different time the on the 4th and finall he did save my arm i a what the call a profound brekulor plexes i was not suppoes to mave any felling or movement in it for about 1 to 2nd a half years but 3 months into my recovery i could feel my shoulder and move it.my left leg was also amputated above the knee.. all and all dr archie heddings is my hero.

Dr. Hedding helped care for my husband's arm after it was almost shredded by a car accident. He was wonderful,compassionate and gentle. It has been 7 years ago and we still talk about what an impression he made on us.You will be blessed if you need an ortho doctor.

great doctor, knows his stuff, very helpfull, honest, hopefully you wont need his services but if you find yourself in that situation you better hope he is your surgeon.

Very thorough. Genuinely caring. Seems to really get into putting people back together. Has the answer to every question I ask.
