Dr. Mayerfield is an excellent hand surgeon. He explained his diagnosis and treatment plans clearly, answering all of my questions thoughtfully and precisely. The two in-office procedures he performed were both highly successful, and he carried them out in a way that kept my stress level as low as possible. A wonderful doctor, skilled and caring!

I can’t thank Dr. Mayerfield enough for his excellent care and professionalism. I was scared and nervous to do a very needed bilateral carpal tunnel surgery. He convinced me that it was a very necessary surgery and that it would change my everyday activity. I use my hands very heavily in my line of work and my carpal tunnel was so bad. He eased my mind every step of the way. I could not believe the difference in my hands days after the surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Mayerfield to anyone who needs a hand surgeon. Quite simply Dr. Mayerfield is the surgeon you want should you have the need for a hand surgeon. We were fortunate enough to benefit from his expertise when my husband nearly severed his index finger about a month ago and Dr. Mayerfield performed emergency surgery. From pre-op to post-op & all subsequent follow-up visits, Dr, Mayfield has told us what to expect realistically along the way to recovery and he has been spot on. We are grateful to Dr. Mayerfield & his highly professional staff. Appointments on time, questions and concerns answered in a timely, easy to understand manner and the feeling of his genuine concern over our fears have made this situation that much less stressful. Dr. Mayerfield's conservative approach to my wrist issues was just what I needed. Occupational therapy was able to resolve my issues and no surgery was needed.
