Dr. Ariel A Sherbany, MD

Pass on this Dr. After waiting months for 1st appointment Dr. Sherbany did not even bother viewing the MRI done 4 months earlier at Hackensack Hospital. Told us there is "something" with our child. That's it. Complete waste of time and money.

Good doctor, but all about the money and collecting it. Never told he was out of network in an in network hospital. charges whatever he wants and will come after you. Rude staff.

Dr. Sherbany has followed my son since birth; we met him at the Westchester Spina Bifida clinic. He always worked well with our neurosurgeons at Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia, NYU or Westchester Medical. If he has a clock in his office, I have never noticed it, and neither does he. His concern when a child is in his office is the health and wellbeing of that child. He does not multi-task; he is focused, takes notes and refers to his notes from prior years with regularity when a question arises. And he can read his writing too! If the emergency room calls he exits the room and handles it; once in 13 years if memory serves. Rapport with children--Dr. Sherbany likes children and they like him. He asks quesions in an interesting and engaging way and elicits amazing facts even I didn't know...rather a mental magician of sorts. My son loves to go see him; the good doctor is happy to explain everything and never disregards a question and always provides aveues for more research if he… sees there is interest in learning more. He doesn't take insurance. He doesn't have to. He's the best!

I will start by saying overall Dr. Sherbany is a very knowledgeable Dr and good at what he does medically. But that is where the goods end. His bedside manner is deplorable! His office staff is nothing short of rude, slow, and incompetent. Avoid at all costs if possible.

Have been dealing with the office regarding finances and an outstanding bill for months and have been getting the run around. Although we have the "privilege" of having insurance, we are "lucky" to have Dr. Sherbany see our child. He has sent me to collections since it is my responsibility to pay my bills since they are doing the courtesy of trying to file my claim with the insurance company. I know he a specialist but his office staff and billing department can have more courtesy and compassion.

This "doctor" continuously performed unathorized procedures on our child. He was rough with her, not caring about her comfort and totally devoid of all human emotions. BEWARE. He continues to bill me for procedures that were paid for by our insurance company.

MY son is twelve years old and Dr Sherbany has been his neurologist since he was 6 months old. I am certain that his expertise and knowledge along with his sense of urgency when needed is the reason that my son is thriving today. We have seen many doctors from all around the country and interfaced with many around the world online, but still feel that Dr Sherbany is one of the best!
