Dr. Arthur Farkash, MD

I never leave negative reviews for any dr, ever, even as a patient if i had a bad experience i will either never see them again or if i do give it time.. and as someone who worked in healthcare and also is a pt, i have seen my fair share of both ends of the spectrum. But this guy, is the first i will actually leave one for. I have only had 2 possibly 3 apts with this man, and i knew at the first visit i didnt wanna see him again, but gave it time because he is a human being as well, i understand what its like being in healthcare, i didnt even know the visit was over until he literally walked out of the room, for all visits, did not understand the plan what we were doing or why i was prescribed the meds i was. also, first visit told him that the pain i have daily makes me feel a certain way that will be flagged by google, he said oh it might be bad but im sure its not THAT BAD. does not listen, does not document correctly at all, i have tried to get things addend-ed with no luck, had… tests done with actual issues coming back, but not bad, can prescribe meds or maybe do this or that with no follow through on him and i have to wait for him to put an order in or do whatever he needs to then doesnt, he clearly does not listen, pay attention, and forgets and looks at his terrible notes which literally dont help either of us, he didnt wanna deal with my work disability paperwork, he made that very clear, so he filled out paperwork saying im fine, if i was fine, i wouldnt have had multiple surgeries in the first place, be seeing 4 other drs, etc, he saw my medical history, he saw prior results and notes.... his incorrect documentation, i lost my case, which hey thats life i guess but he truly has not helped me at all, all he has done is brush me off, ignore me or if im face to face or get an answer, im left confused and have to work to figure out whats next and ask 2-3 times for him to do his part. He will ask me a question about a symptom, then told me oh im sure your not feeling that way, LOL, another dr clearly described an issue in my chart but this guy says no and isnt willing to help with it, when the test came back for it!! every visit was consistent with being terrible, truly. i understand some love this guy, and if he is good to some patients, thats great, i hope so, because from what i have seen and experienced first hand with this guy was so bad he needs to hang up his white coat, terrible bedside manner, answers to actual issues from tests results in my chart that need to be followed up on, never get followed up on, i politely reach out and will maybe get an answer of a sentence with the jist of brushing it off, go elsewhere, most times i am ignored and not responded to (and no i dont message everyday all day, its only about the results i had done at the time, but have had that same experience with it being like that) I think you get the jist of this by now, I hope this is a gentle reminder for when your seeing any dr, anywhere, you shouldnt feel this way, and if you do, speak up.

First, took my mom to be treated for back pain and after so many epidural injections which by the way are VERY expensive. My mom still worse than before. Second, in one of the appointments after looking for parking for 30 minutes we got to the appointment 30 minutes late and the response from this office was "sorry, the doctor cannot see you as he is leaving early today" really???? do you really care for your patients? Third and last, to get an appoitment for chronic back pain you have to wait more than two months. Simply frustrating!

After 4 of of trying different combos to manage my migraine’s Dr told me he could no longer treat me… couldn’t find the right treatment for me… recommend me to a headache specialist… I spent time looking over my charts trying to understand my history and found that nothing added up.. all the time I spent going over my family history with him and my symptoms were never even entered in my chart. He didn’t listen to anything I feel so stupid I lost 4 years spent in pain because I trusted him.

I loved my telemedicine appt with Dr.Farkash !!!! He was very professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him ????????????

What a sham doctor! After him shoving pills at me for years which caused terrible rebound headaches......he told me NOT I THINK......but he told me I had a serious disease! I asked for my records to find a huge question mark next to the name of it. So he simply stopped trying to help and gave me a diagnosis which proved to be BOGUS because he couldn’t figure it out. Another doctor told me to stop taking all the meds......I did! One month later all my symptoms disappeared! I hope he has to take those pills......been years never suffered even one headache!

daily rebound headaches from all the medications he had me on, I finally stopped seeing him. He diagnosed me with a disease I did not have and caused many months of anxiety due to the misdiagnosis. A new doctor took me off all the medications and found the real cause. I have been pain and drug free ever since.

Dr Frakash is a caring and competent psychiatrist and physician. I fell and hit my head on patch of concrete while walking from BMCC to the train station on Chambers Street. I have lost a good deal of short term memory. Dr. Farkash has treated after the fall for 8 years. He has always been kind and caring and, in addition to treating me in his own specialty. he has sent to specialists beyond his own field. I praise him for his kindness as a person and his competence as a psychiatrist and physician. Hafiz Baghban
