Dr. Arthur Walczyk, MD

We had a deeply troubling experience with Dr.Arthur Walczyk and his Gl group. Despite scheduling a colonoscopy with a different physician, we were assigned Dr. Walczyk on the day of the procedure without any prior notice. Following the colonoscopy, my husband experienced severe hemorrhaging. The emergency room physician contacted Dr. Walczyk, who did not come to the hospital to address the complication he caused. As a result, my husband required a three-day hospital stay, lost nearly half of his blood volume, and underwent two additional procedures to correct the damage. This experience revealed a serious lack of communication, accountability, and follow-up from both Dr. Walczyk and the practice. We ultimately had to seek care from a different doctor and medical group

Zero stars- This office did 5, yes 5, endoscopies on my husband. Dr. Walczyk did 4 of them himself. Treated my husband for reflux for months before finally figuring out that he did not have reflux. Finally scheduled a procedure with him to fix the swallowing problem. This man was so, so rude to us. Talked over me, talked down to me, and was the most disgustingly cocky person I have ever met. On top of that, somehow in all these months of useless tests and procedures, missed the cancerous tumor growing in my husbands esophagus. It is now stage 4 and I blame this doctor. We saw a new doctor after Walczyk’s last failed procedure, who immediately found the tumor. Stay far, far away.

I have been a patient of Dr Walczyk's for many years. I came to him from another GI practice where I was told "they didnt know what else to do to help me" - well Dr Walczyk did! Thanks to him I was diagnosed with severe gastroparesis & cholecystitis- & since both issues have been complete resolved. I continue care with him for any lingering issues i may encounter & he is nothing short of thorough !!! highly recommended

Very rude and arrogant. He doesn’t listen to you, I did follow all his recommendations and did all the tests ( colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, breath tests and X-ray s)but still feel sick and he willl get very nasty when I told him that my symptoms still the same , Blaming me for it, because according to him I wasn’t following his advice. Really???? . Yelling at me, complaining that spend to much time with me, really?? . I have my worst experience with this doctor.

I have a severe constipation problem that flairs up from time to time. I was referred to Dr. Walczyk at the Digestive Disease Center in Fishkill, NY. He was not interested in the least in hearing about my constipation problem and spent less than 7 minutes in my initial consult. He only seemed interested in getting me scheduled for a colonoscopy asap as this center seems to be nothing more than a colonoscopy mill that knows how to collect insurance money as efficiently as possible. I already had a partial colonoscopy a year earlier which found nothing, and this new colonoscopy found nothing as well. I never heard from the doctor again, and never received any follow or help for my constipation. They suck and I do not recommend anyone wasting their time at the Digestive Disease Center at 400 Westage in Fishkill, NY.

Good doctor who indersrands GI issues well. But very nasty, rude, arrogant man. I am a lady in my early 50s and have never had such a rude and unkind doctor in my life. Bedside manner is horrible and probably unfixable at this point in his career.

The guy knows his stuff and is a good doctor, but he's very rude and has absolutely minimal bedside manner. His staff is also very rude. If you can stomach the rude service go ahead otherwise look elsewhere.

Dr. Walczyk has been practicing in the area for almost 10 years, and is without a doubt one of the best, if not the best Gastroenterologists in Dutchess County. He specializes in a wide range of GI disorders, and he is an expert in every GI procedure! Great guy to talk to, and a true expert.
